Default Client Node

This icon just appeared on my desktop, it's called client node and I can't move it at all. Does anybody know what it is and how to get it off the desktop? Right clicking does not give me any option....

I just googled "Client Node" and there are quite a few discussions about it. Maybe one of them will help you get rid of it. From the sound of it, Client Node is benign, at least!

hmm, strange stuff, I don't understand their lingo, but I will try and reboot in a while, see if that helps. Thanks Lynnie!

you can always do a System Restore from a recent restore point. sometimes that's the only answer.

Oh, yes, that reminds me-- it's time to plug my laptop into my Time Machine EHD for back up!

Sorry, I have no idea what Client Node is!

Anke, you're on a Mac right? Do you also have a Windows partition on your hard drive? I've heard that file can appear mysteriously sometimes when both operating systems live on the same Mac ... apparently Windows gets confused sometimes and writes a file to the wrong partition ... but I think it's benign and is known to usually disappear upon the next reboot.
