Default In the Idea Gallery...

In the Idea Gallery---is it okay to mention typos in the pages (if you see them) so that the scrapper who posted them has a chance to fix it before printing it, or doing whatever she/he does with it? Where do you bring it up? In the comments, or by some other method?

I know if I had a typo, or missed word, or misspelled word, I'd really like for someone to tell me!

We used to have a thread going in the forum where people could sign up if they wanted to be notified. I am always happy to find out about typos, I'd rather not print the pages with mistakes on them. For some reason I don't read my journaling after I am done, a big no no!

PM is always much appreciated
I've had a few corrections & was super thankful for them because I know I would be so angry noticing after having it printed

I know that I would want someone to tell me, I might feel like an idiot for a second, but I would get over it really quick. I just received a printed book that I did of the 2008 all star game and it had a typo. The book was printed through shutterfly - 12x12 w/ 59 pages - even with the sale and coupon I had it was pricey. I keep cursing myself, cause I too never proof read my journaling. Lesson learned.

I think everyone appreciates a personalmail about errors. It seemed like everyone signed up to that thread Anke mentioned! I have people pick up a few of my errors and I'm so grateful!!

I just fixed one myself thanks to someone graciously letting me know...I really appreciated it! (I started using the spellcheck in Photoshop but I think I catch more by journaling in Microsoft Word first and pasting it in my page.) I agree; I think most of us like to be notified.

I appreciate pm's about typos too. Or other errors. As I'm not native English-speaker, I most likely have a lot of grammar errors. And the typos are probably not just typos, but regular mistakes. It's a good idea to update layout info when you get the first pm, so that your inbox doesn't fill up.

BTW; the update layout info button is the second one from the right, the one that looks like a computer display.

I agree, Amy. I like to journal in Photoshop to see how things look, but I've started copying my text over in OpenOffice when I have finished with it, then run a spell check and copy/paste back to Photoshop.

I love to know about typos too . . . I ALWAYS have at least one, even though I check in MS Word. Somehow mine slip by.

I think a PM is terrific . . . but for myself I don't mind having them in the comments for the whole world to see. I should keep my reputation as a terrible speller boosted, shouldn't I?? LOL

I too would love to know about errors. Would hate to print a book with one, or two or several...
