you certainly can if you want to. A lot of the chipboard items are ready to go, with words or designs etc. But it's totally up to you what you do with them. I love them, I am always looking for solid elements and they are perfect!

If you do clip paper to regular chipboard products, you're going to lose the dimension and texture and it won't really look like chipboard anymore. If you want DIY chipboard that's designed for clipping paper to, Pattie Knox has some stuff:
