Default wah..my hd died.

...but luckily i was able to get back my DD files by just emailing randy YAY!
all my other stuff is gone. G.O.N.E.
but....i am looking at it as a learning opportunity.
i will back up my files from now on, and get a better e-hard drive.
lesson learned, time to move on
and not hoard as much!

Oh, I am so sorry about your hd crashing. Hope you can recover the important things - I seriously need to do a back up on my hd. Thanks for the heads up - it could happen to anyone!

What a bummer -- is there any way to recover your files? I would have a stroke!

Enough to make us all run to back up! I subscribed to Mozy, but, my oh my that takes a long time and slows down my computer, I also back up all my pics, supplies and pages on my EHD-I think I might even buy another one in a couple of months, just to be safe! So sorry to hear about your hd!

I am so sorry. We had that happen a few years ago during a move. Never thought to back up, and lost about two years of digital photo's. Luckily we printed a lot of them out at the time.

Wishing you a speedy recovery

So Sorry, I know it had to hurt and make your heart drop to your knees. Glad Randy was able to get your DD supplies back.

Oh what a bummer! That's why I use Mozy! Well, at least you got all your DD stuff back, that's the best part!

I'm so sorry about the crash. How wonderful that you had your photographs on DVD & CDs. I think that I would hate to have lost photos more than anything else. You must be pretty organized. It is so great that Randy helped you out with your DD files. Just one more reason for me to love this place!

Oh, Ari!! And you would have lost so many pages!! At least you have gallery previews if you wish to recreate them. I've even printed 8x8 from my DD gallery previews (it was a recipe page I gave to a friend at work). It was passable. I was prompted to try SyncBackSE after hearing it recommended on one of Noell Hyman's Paperclipping Roundtable podcasts a week or so ago. I had a backup drive but couldn't decide how to automate the backup. I'm all organized now

How distressing, I'm distressed just reading it. A timely reminder to us all.
