Default journaling...

Do you always post what all of your journaling is? In general I never really have..not sure why. I am just not always a "lay everything out there" type I guess. What about you guys? Does it bother you to see a page with lots of journaling and not be able to read what it says? Just curious..I hope I am not bothering anyone by not always posting..I usually sum it up.

I am careful about what I post online. If there are names and addresses and stuff like that I smudge it out. If I dont really want it read I usually do small font and don't post it seperately, and there are heaps of pages I just don't post at all. The ones I do, are really just generic stuff about what my DS is doing in the pictures or a cute story. I think you have to do what you feel comfortable with, and personally it doesnt bother me. I just think that if someone had wanted me to be able to read it, and it wasnt clear on the layout, then they would have posted it seperately in the credits section. I love looking at your layouts regardless of wether the journaling is complete/readable/or not there at all

I think it's just totally personal choice. I usually put my journalling into the description in case anyone wants to read it, but there was a page recently where I had deliberately made the journalling faint, as it was fairly personal, so I didn't repeat it.

Normally I'm curious about the journalling when someone posts a page, but not bothered if I can't quite read it.

Sometimes I put it in the description - sometimes not. Usually the journaling is big and clear enough on my page to read it from there. It doesn't bother me either way if people read / or not.

I sometimes read other's journaling, sometimes not. Depending on how much time I have. I tend to read the journaling of the people here that I *know better*. But I guess that is natural for everyone.

It is an interesting question though.

You definitely have to do what you are most comfortable with. I'm always interested in reading the journaling especially on the heritage pages but I certainly understand when people don't feel comfortable sharing it.

i'm not much of a journal-ist to begin with, so, unless it's something for a specific challenge, i don't do many words. i sometimes open a window on myself, but i usually don't when the subject of the page is someone else.

I am pretty much with Aino, it all depends on the time I have or if I see that it's something very moving or compelling. I sometimes add my journaling, other times I don't... just a personal preference I guess. Often I look at pages from the artistic side and it doesn't bother me not to be able to read the journaling either.

I think that's a totally individualistic decision. You have to do what feels right.

The pages I post are ones I feel comfortable about adding the journaling - so I do. But I don't expect everyone to add the journaling from their layout.

Personally i am not much of a share with the world every single word i say kinda girl, so i don't usually include my journaling in the comments field. And the journaling is sometimes kinda small on my pages because i print in 12x12, if the journaling is too big then it really looks TOO big once it is printed.

The family pages I create usually have minimal journaling when posted... sometimes add some info in the comments section. I then add personal journaling (for posterity) when/if I print the pages. That's what I'm doing with the military pages I'm making now... comments mainly for family and not posted.

I journal on almost all of my pages. Sometimes it's readable in the gallery and sometimes not. I usually don't add it to the comments. If I feel that it is something I wouldn't want the world at large to read, then I just don't post the page.
