Fascinating interview. I LOVE these interviews as they really do make you feel that you are getting to know the person, so when you see/read their pages you have all these extra pieces of information to accompany them. Now I just want to see a page about Phylis and her spinning wheel...I can just imagine what art she would create about it with those photomasks !! (or has there already been a page and I've missed it?!).

Such a fantastic choice from all the DD artists. I've enjoyed her work here for years. And I loved hearing more about her life. When I think of Phylis I think of a true artist in every sense of the word. Her creativity is such an inspiration to me.

Phylis, my friend, what a fabulous interview! It's so wonderful to get to know more about you and your art ... even if it only scratches the surface of a very deep pool. I envy you the view out your window, and the picture of you at a spinning wheel fills me with awe. Truly, you are a wonderfully creative artist!

Wonderful interview, Merr and Phylis! I can really identify with Phylis's comment about "painting with someone else's hand." That's exactly how it feels. I've never considered myself at all artistic, but the wonderful products we have to work with here help me feel like an artist.

Totally agree with Pam...you are indeed an artist..your "brush" or "instrument" as you will are the products..but you create the art..music..for all of us to enjoy and love! I am one of your biggest admirers and you are so right about Anna's masks! (and the artplays, etc..!) You are too modest!! You are a great inspiration..both in your pages, and your character.
