Default Shutterfly photo prints

Has anyone ordered photo prints from shutterfly and are they as good as their printed books? I normally print my photos from my Epson Picture Mate (which I LOVE) but I ran out of ink and was wondering if I should just order the rest from Shutterfly. It's probably cheaper in the long run but I'm particular on how the colors look.

I love my shutterfly prints - especially when I can get them for free and free shipping! I don't know what true quality prints are, but they are better than what my hp prints.

I also ordered from snapfish and won't do it again. Whenever I get free prints from them, they are given to my teenage daughters.

Jenn, I ordered mine from snapfish too and thought the colors and printing were not very good, which is why I'm hesitating sending out for prints. My Epson does such a good job but SF seems to do a great job with photobooks that I think I'm going to give them a try. Question..... how do you get these free prints everyone talks about??

If you create an account, you get 50 free prints... um, I created one in my DH name, and one in my mom's name, and one in my name... but eventually bought the pre-paid plan for $60 -- but I get 600 prints that can last over 3 years...

The prints are fabulous. I have never had an issue with printing. One time I had a problem with a coupon and shipping, and they ended up shipping the whole order free...

Love them!

I, too, love my Shutterfly prints... since I use them on layouts straight from my computer, I can use all the prints to share w/my family! They will even ship an order to my mom... woohoo! And, yes... the quality is excellent!

Oh, I hate to be the wrench in the wheel here. I am not giving my opinion just to trump someone else . . . I had Shutterfly prints once and they were okay. The color seemed a little dull (that said, maybe it was just the print run---I don't print photos anymore, so I haven't had experience in a couple of years). I have used Snapfish and Winkflash and will NEVER use them again. Colors were horrible.

The best prints I have ever ordered were, believe it or not, from Creative Memories. They use heavier paper and they do professional color correction. I printed a handful of very color-complex prints a while back from four or five companies and compared them. Every time, the person I asked pointed to the CM prints and said they were the best.

Anyway, they have a prepaid plan as well, though they are a little more expensive. So if cost is an issue, I'd go with Shutterfly.

i have gotten shutterfly prints a handful of times (as well as their wink photostrips) and have always found them to be gorgeous - best i've ever had printed.
