Default Load Word doc in PSE?

Is it possible to load a Word doc in a PSE file and make it an editable text layer without having to type it all over again in PSE? I always just retype all my journaling and thought there might be an easier way when I compose in Word.

There may be a more elegant way, but I just have both programs open...create a text box in my PS document and copy/paste from Word to the text box.

Copy/paste - keeps the typos to a minimum, and I am the Typo Princess!

Hmmmmm......I'm thinking Chris might have the same problem I do. I cannot copy and paste into a PSE text box from Word. Maybe it's my version? PSE 5?

Steph, I could do this when I had PSE 5. What can't you do? Does it just not paste the text? I mean, does nothing happen?

I copy and paste and yes, I have Word on my Mac.

Anke, I think I also did it with IWork or AppleWorks...whichever has carried over from my old Mini.

Thanks, everyone. It's really as simple as you all say. What I was forgetting to do was to create the text box before copying and pasting the word doc (and Steph's problem might be the same) and then insert the cursor into my text box to paste; otherwise the copy loaded as an image on a separate layer. And I have PSE5, so it does work. Yeah!

Hmmmmmm......I create the text box in PSE but it still does not paste. But, I have always seemed to have a ton of problems with PSE 5 that no one else does so maybe it's simply my version.

Perhaps I'll just upgrade to PSE 8!
