It's so easy to do that with digital. I usually delete the ones I don't like. That said, you would not believe how many photos I have stored on DVD's and EHDs that will never make it a layout or be printed. I only get rid of the ones I REALLY don't like. And, I find it really hard to do a layout with a lot of photos...so I use templates and photo cluster frames to help me get started with the photos and the story I want to tell. Good luck.

When I am overhwelmed by photos I start with what is the story of the day (event) that I most want to tell and that helps me decide which photos to use. There is no rule that says you can only make one page for everyday. If you like a lot, then use a lot.

I love saving most of my photos, like Susie, only deleting really bad ones. I'm always amazed how much more I like photos in a year or two. As the memories of the events fade, the not so great shots get better
![]() I'd recommend a template as well, so many fun ones that help you get a lot of photos on the page. |

Oh Kelly, we are in the same boat! My DH took 210 photos at the park this week! So far, I have made two layouts with the photos and am planning another. If nothing else, I figure I can use them as "stock photos" of my girls...for times when I have a story but no photo from that event to put with it.
Good luck!

Also don't look at the photos as a whole, are there parts of the photo, or parts of your children that would look great cropped?

I think we ALL end up in this boat sooner or later. I was playing tour guide this week and I had to chuckle at my girlfriend when she borrowed my camera to take some photos (after her own camera battery died). I think she took about 40 shots of the Statue of Liberty as we passed it on the ferry ride. I asked her if she wanted me to download them all or if she wanted to edit them down first. She opted to have them all, despite the redundancies - and I can't say I blame her a bit! Even though they weren't pictures of the kids, they were still pictures that captured an important "moment" on her vacation. And isn't that why we scrapbook anyway? So don't fret about the numbers, just save those babies and come back to them later if you can't use them all now!
