Question Help! New computer, photoshop CS3 install problem

I just upgraded my desktop and can't get photoshop CS3 to install. I see that my new computer has windows 7 and is 64bit. Is there a way to make the two compatible, without buying a whole new program? I am trying to google it but can't think how to do it in a small enough sentence
Thanks in advance for your help.

I may have figured out my own problem. I was trying to install it on a third computer. I am going to unistall from my old one and see if that works.

It still didn't work. It says it only says componant install failed. I contacted adobe on a chat & the customer service rep. said it should be working. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just installed CS4 on my new Windows 7 64 bit machine. From what I read, download the installer zip from Adobe from your account and install from that. The installer will then use the 64 bit version and that worked great on my machine.
