Thumbs up Show Us Your Favorites!! (03-01-10)

THE FAVORITES THREAD IS FOR LAYOUTS POSTED LAST WEEK. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE PAGES POSTED AFTER SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH.

Please show us pages that use DesignerDigitals products and provide a link (click here to learn more) . . . so we can see the details of the page in the gallery.

This page called "Trunk in the Mud" by champsarahjoy just cracked me up. I love pages that document this otherwise forgotten moments in childhood. I also love the collage she created and the use of the stitching for the sun rays. It's such a fun page!

I look forward to seeing YOUR favorites!!

I loved Sarah's page too, Cassie!

I am so glad that Shanah recorded this incredible conversation between her and her father-in-law. IMO, stories like this are why we scrapbook.

For This I am Thankful

The gallery was just full of creativity this past week!
One of my faves was this one by Marnie. I just love that she has all of those fantastic photos of herself with cool shades on and that she scrapped her love for them on this sunny page!

I always love this thread. Already some of my favs have been mentioned. I also loved My Rag Dolls by vanguardgator. The kit she used was perfect for these precious photos. Love her layering.

And, Mollie's (readstoomuch) Mama's Dresses. First, how wonderful her granddaughter is wearing a the same dress Mollie made for her own daughter. Love the red and white and the way she framed the cute photos.

Have a wonderful week everyone.

One of my favorites this week is by bhalter. I just LOVE the angle including the angled journaling.

Also, this one by Crystal. In my eyes this is perfect in every way.

Cassie, thanks for faithfully starting us out on Monday mornings with our review of favorites. Already, I'm seeing several layouts I missed seeing.

Another one of Kelly's (aka mugsbigsis) found its way into my favs category last week. I may be tired of winter, but, I would never tire of seeing it through Kelly's creative and inventive mind.

I thought bbe's (sorry I don't know your name!) take on the Just My Type challenge was fabulous!

And this one by Anna is not only beautifully scrapped, but it brings home the reality of the sacrifices that our armed forces families make EVERY day.

I also loved Marnie's Sunshine and Shades and Kelly's Winter ... both so creative!
I think Anke's Katrina's Photowalk is so pleasing to look at and I love what she chose to photograph for each of the categories!

Thank you Heather!

I had quite a few pages enter my fave folder this past week, so i will try to narrow it down to one! This one by Cindy (cderousseau) is a total knockout to me. I am in awe of her style & love the pop of red on this one.

Wow! Thanks for the mention Cassie!
For me, I loved Mel's "Life @ Six and Three Quarters"
The photos and their treatment are darling and the colors are perfect. The journaling is what really gets me though...the day to day emotions and happenings that we sometimes forget to record or have trouble getting on paper. I love it!

Jana, thank you so much for mentioning my page! It's such a great start to the week to be featured in this thread! So many of the layouts that made it into my fave folder have already been posted, and so many that I sadly missed. I'm so glad we have this thread to catch them

Here are two that I found stunning in the past week:

"Reasons to smile" by Amy (mymalloryboys). I love the amazing layering, and every AAM page posted here is a treasure.

Also, I think "For the love of digi" by Elena is absolutely fantastic: A real piece of art:

I'm late to this thread today because I've been off volunteering at the school where I used to work. It's state testing time, and I'm helping out in the testing coordinator's office. So many wonderful pages in the gallery this week as always, but this page by Myra just blew me away. The colors are bold and perfectly complement the wonderful picture of Jacob. And Myra's journaling makes this English teacher's heart glad:

Okay for me this past week, Anxela has already posted Elena's "for the love of digi" which was straight into my favourites.

My other one was Shannamay's "Today". Love that it is a story about just an ordinary thing in her life, but it's what makes her life and the things you remember about it long after it's past. And love the layering.

And I'll just pop one more in. Donjing's "Berlin-07-neu". Love the colouring on the photos, obviously special photos from her holiday, but wow, what a book this is going to be. It looks so polished.
