Default Is anyone else.....

watching the Olympics instead of scrapping this week? I love watching but then it is midnight and the same page that has been open on my computer all week is still not finished! I so want to finish this page and post it but I'm just too tired! Oh well, it's only every four years, right?!!

Whenever we ask our daughter if she wants to watch the Olympics she asks back "summer?" And we say "nooooo.... it's wintertime." She really wants to see the gymnastics! :-)

We are watching from it starts around 6 pm here to bedtime. All other TV shows are forgotten... but I get some scrapping done as well...

then she should watch the figure skating - I have always loved watching that but with the time zones - it is not possible to watch it this time.

My DS stayed up way, way behind his bedtime yesterday as we watched the biathlon skiing. We have some good Norwegians, but I guess when it really matters they kind of "chicken out"

Yes, it starts here about 9.30pm or 10pm so we only watch a bit before bed. But must admit we've been doing a fair bit of couch luge'ing (as I like to call it) LOL

I don't watch a single sports event all year, but when the Olympics are on everything else stops for me, but I jump back and forth to the computer during the commercials.

Devoted Olympics watcher here, mostly figure skating and some speed skating. I scrap when they're doing the ones I'm not as interested in, but these late nights are killing me!

I love watching the more extreme sports...speed skating, downhill and all the snowboarding. It is keeping me up late!

Our family spends our afternoon catching up from the previous day and our evening watching the current day. The girls can't stay up late enough to watch it all so that's why we have the afternoon catch up. We watch almost all the events.

And yes this is making scrapping hard. Between the Olympics and another project I'm working on, I am tapped out right now. I did make a realization today. I should take my laptop with me when I sit in front of the computer. During the commericals I should use that time to comment in the gallery.

My scrappping desk is in our family room, and I can scrap and see the TV. Multitasking at its finest.

I am loving watching the olympics...the figure skating and speed skating is my favorite. Thankfully my desk is in the tv room so I can scrap in between commercials after the kids are in bed.

I've been tagging/organizing my digi supplies while I watch at night. I love the Olympics - I'm always so amazed by the abilities of these athletes.

We love watching the Olympics as well. I'm a big fan of ice skating and speed skating. It's nice to be able to watch something that my husband and I both enjoy.

I am a certified Olympics junkie. I've DVRd all the events, and I watch them the following day so I can fast-forward through all the commercials. I love the new Visa commercial, "Go World," because I am interested in everyone's stories, not just the US. (Besides, we're traditionally not a winter sports powerhouse!) The compelling story of JR Celski was just such a story, what an amazing comeback. DH makes fun of the human interest stories; he is convinced they're only produced for the female audience.

I found myself fascinated by snowboard cross, which I've never watched before. I love short track speed skating (Apolo is really a fiery character!) and I enjoy figure skating.

I haven't scrapped or looked in the gallery in over two weeks. Hopefully things will calm down now that the winter is winding down here.

We are not sports watchers AT all but somehow we've watched the Superbowl and a lot of the Olympics. Unfortunately my dh is a 9pm bedtime man as he's 'programmed' to get up at 4am but I've stayed up till 11 a couple of nights. Waaay late for me!!

I haven't scrapped much either. Between work, meetings at night, and the Olympics I just don't have time.

Olympics take over for the duration, not that I've been doing a lot of scrapping, mainly working on household decluttering. For the last winter ones I was ill and in a similar time zone to Turin so I watched everything from the comfort of the sofa. These ones I am at work or asleep so am having to make do with the highlights though currently I'm half watching the curling Great Britain(good Scottish girls) against the Russians. Then I have a skiing trip after the Olympics finish!

Oh yes. I've been up every night watching until late, and last night I was sooooo tired, but I had to stay up because one of my former students from several years ago was competing, and I could barely keep my eyes open. I did, though, and I'm paying the price today. Oh well, like you said - once every four years.

I LOVE the winter olympics....but we don't get cable or NBC!!! WAAA!!! So, I have been watching the updates and clips online. It's just not the same....oh well, I guess it isn't the end of the world. It is still nice to be able to see anything at all...gotta love the internet! I watched a little curling while we ate at a restaurant tonight (is that terrible, or what?!..dinner with the family and I am sneaking peaks at people pushing stones across the ice!! at least they understand :-) Happy watching, everyone!

How did he/she do? My college roommate's sister (that's a mouthful!) was on the US Olympic team two or three times (I can't remember) for air rifle in the 90s. Fun!

Agree..it's been just a hoot. We even have tickets to some preliminary hockey games....woohoo. My husband ran into some of the German curlers and was chatting with them. As they were leaving he turned to them and said" Good Luck but not too much luck. Hope you finish second!" They weren't that impressed but we all laughed!!
