sees an inspiring photo, scraps like a maniac for half an hour and then loses inspiration? I leave my desk, come back, and start over with a new photo and a new story. I have so many half-finished layouts I made them a special folder called "working" - the only problem is that I never get back to them. It's filling up fast...
(Edit: Maybe I should rename the folder to "lackofProgress")I really don't know what my problem is - I often get that "this doesn't look finished" feeling, but have no idea what to add (or take away) to call it a day.

That's funny, I am the opposite. I don't have any unfinished pages! I stick with one until it's done, even if I am not completely happy, I'll finish it and move on to the next one. I figure I can always come back later and edit (which I usually don't do though) Don't feel bad though, we are just all different and unique! Maybe your pages turn out a lot better this way

You aren't alone! I just finished a layout that I started last summer...and still wasn't entirely happy with it. Usually though, I try to be more like Anke and crank through it. I don't usually have long enough blocks of time to finish a LO so I end up tweaking it over the course of a few days. Maybe that helps me to get it done!

I make myself finish a page before I move on to the next one even if I've lost all my mojo which then just makes it feel like a chore. I don't know why I do that..ok, maybe I do. I have to feel like I'm making progress, crossing things off my to-do list. Like right now I'm working on my Christmas '09 album. I have 27 pages. All are done as far as papers, photos, layouts but I'm stuck at the embellishing part. I'm halfway through and feel like I hit a rut and now I just want to get it done so I can move on to something more interesting. I should start a works in progress folder but I have a feeling almost all of my pages would be in there then!

I like to finish my pages before I start something new, as well. I just took a wander through the new embellishment e-book and came away full of ideas. Maybe that would help.

Oh, that's smart, Aino! I think that's what I'm going to do too. Thanks! And maybe that will be a kick in the b**t to finish, if I know I'm deleting if I don't. That's almost like a deadline! (And I actually love deadlines. They make me work harder and more motivated, and structured.)

I have tons of unfinished LOs - and I like it that way. Suddenly I can look at it and it takes a second to finish. And I have had some staying as a psd folder for a couple of years and then the inspiration was there.
And if I am doing a project I often make a page - put the photos in as I want them - and then start a new one - until I have a bunch. Then I do the fun stuff like journaling and putting in elements. |

I don't have a lot of unfinished pages, but I do have some. And I do go back and tweak sometimes. And sometimes I just plain start from scratch and redo. You have to do what works for you and allows your creativity to flow. And let's face it, we've all been there when Mo and Jo don't want to play well together.

I'm in the "don't stop until it's done or delete" camp.
