Question I'm a Newbie...

Hello:

Just new to the digital world and was wondering... what can't you live without when it comes to page elements/embellies? Favorite designers? :I see so much great stuff... and I want it all! What would you recommend a beginner use? I've been scrapbooking for a while, so want more than just a "plain" page.
THANKS!

Paper by Katie Pertiet is one thing I can't live without. And then there are about a hundred more!

I would check out Kayleigh's pages in the team gallery and put all her embellishments on your wish list! She is the master at using just the right thing and her credits have links to everything... makes it really easy to go NUTS =)

There are just too many to list! The designers here ROCK!

I too would suggest finding pages you like in the gallery, and using their links to the products they used.

If you're just starting out, have a look at Katie's Mega Tag Pack. It has all sorts of tags in different colours (that you can also clip coloured or patterned paper or a photo to). You can put dates on them, journal on them, brush an image onto them. There are also some strings, staples and brads included. Ii's a really useful and versatile pack. And then just go pick something pretty you like!! I love all of the papers here at DD - so when I first started, each time I was able to invest in a kit, I would look really carefully at the elements included, and made my choice that way. Have fun!

Hi and welcome! I agree with everyone so far...Katie has a bazillion fab paper packs, Anna's stitching is a must, Patti's Fasten It's and I'd have to add Mindy's kits. I love all the fabulous pieces she puts together. I rarely use it all on one LO, but it is a lot of great material packed into one purchase! Oh, and I also couldn't live without Lynn's worn page edges.
... to name a few!

Oh my word this is such a hard question to answer..it's kinda like which child do you love the most!!

I would go through the gallery and see which layouts catch your eye. Then look to see what the credits list. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything you purchase here.

Oh and if your new to digital scrapping check out the Cassie Jones tutorials in the store. They are easy to follow, will teach you a ton of stuff and they come with papers and elements to make a layout.

Welcome to DD!

That is really a hard question to answer. So much is personal taste! I love cardstock and Katie has some awesome papers! I can't do anything without Anna's stitches anymore, and her ArtPlay Palettes are goreous. I also love templates, they make life so much easier and of course Katie's Vintage Photo Frames No. 18 - Digital Scrapbooking Elements
these are just examples, there are so many out there....
I agree with the going through the gallery suggestion. It's so much easier to chose when you see the things "in action"
