I hardly ever do real page titles. I never ever did them when I paper scrapped (I'm just not that creative!) and now, I feel pressure if I don't. So I told myself if I'm telling the story in the journaling, I don't need a title.

I don't always give a page a title. I think if the journaling and photos tell the story why add a title? Sometimes I will highlight a word in the journaling or start or end with something that highlights the story and make that word or phrase more prominent so it looks like a title. Titles are sometimes more work to think up than the page is to make.

Sometimes, sometimes not! Sometimes a title can be the starting point - other times a LO is just complete without one. And I'm a firm believer in the "no rules in scrapbooking" idea. Even if there are any rules, they MUST be there to be broken, surely!!

I think sometimes it adds a nice graphic element to a page. On multiphoto LOs about an event, a title that includes the event name helps to tie the photos together. But when the topic of the page is obvious or when the page is one of a series I don't bother. If I can't think of a meaningful title I don't use one!

I almost always include titles, particularly for the pages being posted. I don't usually have much journaling on my pages, so I feel a title is needed to explain what's what. I can always just hide the title if I later use the page for another purpose - I save all the PSD files.

I mostly do use titles, sometimes it can make the viewer curious as to what the page is going to be about, sometimes it just looks nicer
and other times it just pulls everything together. I really like wordart too

For me it all depends. Sometimes I can't come up with anything. Sometimes when I have the title added it just doesn't look right. I think it's all about being happy with the way YOUR page looks when it's all done. And that's really all that counts, I think!

It's art...and it's YOUR art, so there are no rules!!
Now, that being said...I have my own "rules" for my layouts. For example...every single LO has a date on it somewhere and the names of the people in the photos either in the journaling or somewhere else on the page. And, I almost always have a title on my LOs, but that's just me.

I don't always put a title... sometimes word art or a larger element or a highlighted word in the journaling does the trick... or the photo says it all! But, I am with Jodi, I put a date 99% of the time.

Most of the time I use a title and a date. Like Anke said, it helps to draw the page together and interest the viewer. I also like to use the title as a design element sometimes. But there are certainly no hard and fast rules about using a title. Sometimes you just have to let art have its way.

I like to have a title, but sometimes there isn't one.

Great opinions. Thanks. I have almost always been a title person and I love to come up with something creative. I just wasn't feeling it last night, and started to panic. I looked at it again this morning and I definately like it just the way it is.
I like the idea of always having the date. I used to write the date and sign the back of my paper layouts, but with all the cute tags and the tools of photoshop, I should work on some sort of digital datestamp/signiture.

I date the front but that's what I do - I sign and date the back of my LO's. I didn't always do it, so I had to go back and sign old ones but I couldn't date them except the photos. I don't want there to be any confusion even though I date the front with the pics so what I do is sign, date and then photos:date.
