PSE 8.0 for Mac problem/question?

I cannot launch my PSE today. It just wouldn't work today for some unknown reason.
I reinstalled the software and I still get this message when I try to open it: ?Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application.?

I cannot find help on Adobe's website . . . the only thing that comes close is CS4 for windows with this problem.

Anyone know what I can do for a fix?
Edited to say . . . sorry . . . I should have posted this under the PSE Q & E area . . . so I've posted there too.

I had a technical problem similar to this and sent Adobe an email help request, as as per their info on the site, I got an answer back within 3 days. And their solution more or less worked. Of course, I was totally frustrated for the 3 days waiting for them to respond - and I actually found the answer thanks to the folks at Elements Village.
