I know, I love them too! It's great to get to know people I see scrapping about kids, grandkids, husbands, boyfriends - everything but ourselves... But that changed with this challenge!

I would so love to do one of these pages, but I just cannot figure out how to get a picture of myself. This is truly a distressing mystery! I tried having DD take one, but she can't handle the camera. I don't have a tripod, and DH is scared to turn my camera on.

I have been loving the pages, too. It's so much fun to see and read about all of us, as much as I love getting to know all your families and friends!

Sarah -- you don't have to use a new picture. I used one taken months ago. Or do the page without a picture. We want to know more about you!

I suppose I could do one without a picture . . . but I haven't had my picture taken in almost 2 years. I'll see what I can do and make this a priority in the next couple of days.

Sarah - use a mirror!!!!!! 99% of my self-portraits are taken in the mirror.

Sarah, the one in my avatar was taken by me standing in front of my bathroom mirror. Not the greatest, but I am usually the photographer and don't have many recent ones of myself. I was able to look at the LCD screen on the camera at an angle so the camera didn't have to be in front of my face.

Loving this awesome gallery as well! Love reading about everyone. It is so important to take some time to document us! Sarah - no photos of you for 2 years?! You gotta take a photo of yourself, try the mirror thing!

Well, there you go! You're only a 19-hour drive away. Come on and see the bayou!

I'm going to sit back when Jake goes down and read the rest of these great pages. I think I've only looked at a few so far. Need a good idea to lift!

Sarah I got my hubbie to take a picture of me yesterday... I was in the same boat. I just turned the camera to the square setting and then the baby started fussing so up in my arms he went..so i still don't have a solo pic!
I think your kids will love reading about you! I know I would!

I set my camera on something that was around the height I needed - even if it means stacking boxes. I set up my view for where I'm going to stand, then I use the timer. I set it for 10 seconds so there's plenty of time to go to my spot and arrange myself. LOL I used adobe to blur the background a bit.

I have really enjoyed reading them too, very inspiring. I haven't had time to read all of them, I hope to get around to it this weekend as well as get one done myself soon.

Sarah: The picture on my AAM page was taken in the mirror on my bedroom Those are the only pictures of me around here. Go close. I've found out that single spot focus is best. And angle in = angle out. So you just have to find the right angle so that the camera finds your face. And look into the camera (in the mirror )
