Has anyone tried using the Windows 7 library system combined with tagging to organize their digi supplies?

I don't have windows 7 but the concept sounds really cool. I know Cassie's example of her organized supplies, on a MAC, that allowed that sort of thing made me want an apple (but only for a minute). Maybe I'll upgrade to 7 to see. Hopefully someone more helpful will come by. I look forward to their response. Very curious...

Well, I think I just answered my own question! I've been playing around with it, andI think I can come close to what I had with ACDSee (which I lost when moving over to a new computer & Windows 7). I am keeping all my stuff on an EHD in a file called Digi Supplies (which has subfolders by designer.) I added this Digi Supplies folder to the Library. Through the Library I went in and tagged the Previews with key words like blue, frame, heart, etc. Then you can just do a search on "frame" and ALL those previews tagged with "frame" will pop up. Then you right click on the Preview you want and choose "Open File Location" and it will take you to that file. Then you can drag that element or paper to your PSE or CS window to add to your layout. Woo hoo! The cool thing is you can also see PNG files!

P.S. One thing I did do was remove text files like TOU's and remove the extra layer of folder that you seem to get when you unzip... this may or may not have any effect on one's ability to "see" the files.

Elena, I don't know for sure if this will work with your combination of software, but when I am looking at the thumbnail - I right click and choose "open with" instead of the "open file location". Then I chose "Adobe Photoshop Elements" from the list which appears. If I already have my Elements program open, this just adds the file as an open file and I can keep looking at the thumbnails to chose another file to open, or if Elements was not already open, it will start the program and also open the file in it. Hope this makes sense. This way I don't have to drag and drop.
PS - I have Windows 7 and PSE7.

Barbara, you are so right! I used the "Open With" and it works like a charm! Thank you for sharing!
