Default when you create,

do you stay within a kit or mix it up?

And, do you search for supplies by type or by kit?

1. Both ways.

2. I search by type and color.

1. usually mix it up
2. search for specific elements first, then if I can't find something I search my kits

I only have one kit, so I don't stay just within kits. I guess I pick stuff out randomly that I like. I search within my ACDSee categories.

I almost never stick with a kit...unless I have challenged myself to do so. I usually start with paper, then browse my DD folder or search by elements until the inspiration hits me. Probably why it takes me so long to finish anything!

though i haven't done much scrapping lately, i've been tending to write down a list of items i want to try to use on a page. i try to include stuff that i forget i have or don't use much of, or am afraid of (like flowers). then i search by type and just mix and match until i get the look i want.

i will occasionally stick to a kit if i'm pressed for time.

I'm a mix it up kind of girl. Although I rarely use more than 5 elements on a page, I'm just kind of simple

I hardly ever just stick to a kit... although if I use a kit I use a few elements from it generally.

I'm not sure if I've ever stuck to a kit! I like mixing it up. And the page evolves as I go, so I usually search for things pretty randomly.

If I had a lot of kits, I'd always stay in the kit. I'm a very pre-done kind of person. When I use a kit, I find my pages come together much more cohesively and they are easier, and they flow better. When I do books as gifts, I use kits exclusively and never deviate. If I did, they would take years to complete.

I have my supplies organized so that I keep everything in the folder as I downloaded it. They go into my "digital scrapbook kits" folder. Then in Organizer, I have everything tagged as the subitem. So I can browse by location, and see a folder of a whole kit, or I can choose "stitching" and only see all my stitching. It makes it easier to find things when I know what I'm looking for. If I need a cut-up or a quote, I can go to "Word Art." If I'm looking for a button, brad, or flair, I go to "Buttons, Brads, and Fasteners." It makes it easy, though my stash is growing. But it's small enough that I know what I have, and I still know where everything is.

It's almost time to make another run-through and delete old freebies from other places that I've never used.

If I use a kit, I start out with it, but end up adding in other elements. I love that I almost have ACDSee totally organized and I can search by element or color or whatever I'm looking for. It makes scrapping so much faster and easier.

I search by type, then color. I rarely use a whole kit together. There are a few, though, that I really love as they are kitted.

When I use kits, I might stick to the papers from the kits and some elements, but I always add other stuff. Search, whats that? I search my memory banks for what i've got. I've been slack on the tagging and organising front, but i'm gettting too much stuff now, so my memory is getting a bit hazy.

I usually start with a kit or paper pack and then add as I need variety. I usually add stuff from other kits, but it isn't intentional.

If I start with at kit I usually stick with it. Sometimes I might deviate for the background. I found that it makes my scrapping progress faster. I am trying to challenge myself to mix it up a little more this year.

Both.

I use ACDSee, if I didn't, the answer to the first would probably be KITS.

More mixed than kit, though I like kits. Even when I use a kit, I almost always have elements on the page that aren't from the kit. When I look for elements, I am usually thinking of elements that aren't part of a kit--they're in my Elements folder--and, as a result, sometimes forget the great elements that are inside my kit folders. But I have a pretty good mental grasp of what I have and it's not a huge problem. I also use aliases (Mac shortcuts) for some things that are parts of kits, so when I look for alphas, for example, in my Alpha folder, I have aliases there for all the kit alphas as well as the alphas I've purchased that are not part of a kit. But I don't do that with everything, so I do miss things.

I usually start with a kit and even if I try to stick with it, I usually end up pulling in something else. I tend to like things better if they don't perfectly match.

Bits from everywhere!! I just plonk all sorts of stuff down and move it around and add a bit of this and a little bit of that and . . . well, I have to admit to being completely disorganised with my supplies and that's the way my creative process works too, I guess!!

I often stick to a kit for my entire LO, maybe going outside the kit for one or two elements. I get my LOs done a lot faster that way. No...if I had all my scrap supplies nice and organized, I wouldn't have to do that, but...

I might use a lot from one kit and then add on or mix everything totally up. It all depends, every page is different for me. I do a lot of browsing through my stash and let myself be inspired by what I see

Never stick to a kit. Always start with photo(s) in mind. I browse and let things evolve.
