Default Brush Catalog?

That's how many brushes I have in my files! SO...I certainly don't want and don't even know if I COULD load them all into ps, but I searched google and here for a program that might catalog them...you know, like the programs that manage fonts, like font wrangler, etc...

Came up with nothing.
Is there a program that you could use to manage brushes and preview them to decided what you want to use without having them all loaded into PS?

I use Preset Viewer by Tumasoft. Love it! (But it's for Windows only ... no Mac version as of yet.)

I use Preset Viewer and love it as well.
The program automatically finds the abr files and loads them into the program for you.
You can tag your brushes.
You can load the brushes from the preset viewer right to PSE.
You can load all of one set of brushes or you can pick and choose brushes from different sets and then load them to your work area.
Just a few of the things the program will do.

I use Preset Viewer too and have been thinking that there's a bit of a conflict with ACDSee. When Donna mentioned that PV uploads automatically, it gave me the idea that perhaps that uploading automatically makes ACDSee think that the file has been moved outside of ACDSee, which causes orphaned data. Anyone have any thoughts about this?

Some other things- if you are using ACDsee Photo Manager 2009, if you embed the metadata to the files (Database>Embed> the info "sticks" to the file so you shouldn't lose your tagging.

And I use Photo Manager to keep my 2000+ uninstalled fonts and my unknown amount of abr files organized and tagged.
You can view all uninstalled fonts. I keep them in sub-folders (Handwriting, Girlie, Holiday, etc) . To use them you select the fonts you want, Rebuild Thumbnails, open your editor/scrap program and there they are! Love it!!!

For my brushes, I work a bit differently. I typically keep must of my brushes with the kits they came with, or in folders of brushes. But I tag each brush with a category (swirls, word art, grunge etc) to help me find what kind I am looking for. I also use the "Author" field to put in the brush designers name or website so I can give credit when I use them.

Maureen: Will the brush pilot app find brushes on EHD's as well?? Will it load them for temporary use, or do you need to load and "unload" them each time?? This sounds wonderful, and well worth the $15 even just to view them all!
