I remember when they put Digital Scrapbooking Magazine and Simple Scrapbooks Magazine to sleep, that they said that CK would include more of that stuff. I can't seem to find a lot of this... Sure, there are a few digi layouts here and there, and they are great! But I can't help to think, seeing all the gorgeous layouts being posted here, that they are missing out on something! (is that the right English expression?)
Also, does anyone know if Jessica Sprague, Candice Stringham, Becky Higgins, and Ali Edwards have all quit writing for them? They were my top reasons for buying CK! It makes me kind of sad... I miss Simple and DSM...and those writers!

yes, I miss much of what you miss. HOWEVER, I am totally grabbing on to CK and Scrapbooks Etc right now and buying every issue . . . . I love having a magazine to hold and dog-ear and I don't want to lose what's left.
And . . . I'm looking at paper and digi pages in the mag pretty much equally. They all offer ideas. There were a bunch I liked in the Feb issue (including a few by some DDers!)

You can so take a paper page and turn it into digital. But I rarely buy any magazines anymore. I prefer to spend my limited resources on supplies at DD. The way this gallery is hopping lately, there is no lack of inspiration. I don't know about the other ladies you mentioned, but Ali and Becky are both gone from CK. Becky has launched her own business.

I'm with Debbie too. I love magazines and I wish DSM would come back. I like CK but miss the digital. I still get inspired by the paper but I miss the great columns of DSM.
I noticed all the digi pages seemed to be DD girls. I got a magazine/book called cards and Tdavenport was in it. I thought that was pretty cool. 1 digi card and it was from a DD girl

I have to say that I stopped buying them too---the gallery here and the other places I visit give more than enough inspiration. Unfortunately mags, of all kinds, may become an endangered species soon

I am also "on the same page" as Debbie! I love flipping through the magazines. I am the same way with catalogs vs. on-line shopping. I would much rather sit down and relax and take my time going through a catalog then sitting at the computer. Don't get me wrong, I love the inspiration in the galleries here as well... but inspiration comes from all different places and I still really like CK. I have never seen a copy of DSM though so maybe I don't know what I'm missing! :-)

Thank you for your response on this! I agree, there is *almost* nothing that beats curling up in the sofa with a magazine and a "cuppa". About submitting - I'm loving the pages in the AAM gallery, and this is such a great idea. Shouldn't you submit these? There are so many truly awesome layouts there, and the concept just beats everything. I think that all scrappers should be doing this...
I feel I should clarify a little... What I was trying to say, (see first post) was that I am missing articles written with digital in mind. Think put a little DSM into pages 30-32 in CK for example... To keep a little for the digi scrappers that got the subscription for DSM converted. Same goes for having a Simple column.
