Default I was close to giving up....

but after lots of messing around and then searching, I found out how I could make straight lines for journaling on. I was about read to just chuck up everything and say it's too darn hard. Man, I am stubborn! LOL Now if I could just figure out the easy way to make a box outline!

One way is to use the marquee tool. Make a new layer. Use the marquee tool to get your box shape... which will give you a dotted outline. And then select the stroke option in the edit menu and your stroke will conform to the outline on its own layer. There are other ways.... not sure what your version of PS will let you do?
