Default Making a brush....

Ok, I sort of know how to do it. I'm just not sure how it's done. rofl. I mean, I've made them before but sometimes when I click in edit, define brush isn't an option so I don't really get it. Clear as mud? Why is it sometimes I can make a brush and sometimes I can't?

It may be too large. I find I have to resize any image I want to create a brush to at most 2500 pixels. HTH!

Cassie's tutorial might help you out too! I find myself referring to Cassie's tutorials anytime I do something I've not done in a while or can't figure out how to get myself out of a corner

I didn't see this message before. Did you place a selection around the image you wanted to make into a brush?

Oh, maybe that was it! Now I have it all closed down and stopped playing with the image I was trying to play with. LOL Thanks! I'll try and remember that! I definitely need to take notes!

That's okay. The other day I was making a brush and forgot to make the selection but it made the brush anyway. This really puzzled me until I realized I had a very small file open, not my usual 12" square one. It also could be something quirky with Photoshop. It really does strange things sometimes - especially if the memory is getting low. Then I close, reboot and start fresh.
