Default Question on stamps and the new style embossed paper

This new embossed paper has me confused. I have steered away from it when buying, but it is in the free downloads this week from Katie, so now I am a proud owner.

Most of what I scrap is stamped stamps. Inked stamps. What do I do special to them to make it look like they are actually stamped on this embossed paper?

Think about it if you need to, but I am stymied!

Thanks,

Suzy

I don't think anybody bothers. I guess you could get into this

which is really awesome for larger things, but stuff like type I would just do like on regular paper..

Suzy are you saying you actually print the paper and then use REAL rubber stamps to stamp REAL ink on the pages?? We are so into the digital. I cannot figure out how to give the ink the textures of the page. But maybe some of our hybrid folks will be around in a bit and have some ideas.
Assuming I am reading you right!! LOL

ETA: And my goodness, girl, you were up early!!

I think she wants to make it look like it was printed on embossing, you know the hills and valleys... I guess, Cassie and Katie are right, blending modes would be the best choice...

Well, Suzy... as a "real" stamper (I was a Close to My Heart consultant for three years!), I *DO* bother... my digi stamping *HAS* to look 'real'! And, this is how I do it... Cassie's tutorial! Definitely get it, read it and do it... you'll LOVE the results!

Yes, I was talking all-digital, and yes, thank you the blending modes are a great idea, and yes, I already do that cut and offset for the page edge, but the embossed papers are a little different and more curvy sometimes -- less than a straight shot, and the paper isn't a 90 degree bevel like a paper edge.

Thanks everybody -- I shall work on this the very next spare moment I have.
