Default Lightroom upgrade?

For those of you that use Lightroom......I'm using LR v1 right now and have some Christmas money to spend. I'm wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to LR 2 especially since LR 3 seems to be coming out soon (but no definite answer as to when.) Should I make the upgrade now or just wait until 3 comes out? I read somewhere that v1 is no where near as nice as 2 though. Just wondering what your opinions are?

I would download the trail version of 3 and see if the new features are worth it to you. My guess is that you will want to wait =)

Are they any restrictions with the beta version or is it a fully workable program? I'm just interested in using LR for editing at this time since I use ACDSee for my cataloging needs.

Thank you! I'm off to download the beta version and will stick with that until I can purchase it.
