Thumbs up Show Us Your Favorites!! (01-04-10)

THE FAVORITES THREAD IS FOR LAYOUTS POSTED LAST WEEK. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE PAGES POSTED AFTER SUNDAY, JANUARY 3RD.

Please show us pages that use DesignerDigitals products and provide a link (click here to learn more) . . . so we can see the details of the page in the gallery.

"Waiting" by anxela really caught my this week. I love the lavender and the way she duplicated the image to showcase her child's adorable expression of anticipation. Lovely work.

I look forward to seeing YOUR favorites!!

It would have to be this one by Kayleigh. I can completely relate to this! DH and I were just talking the other night about how much our lives have changed in just a few years....utterly amazing.
I love the layering here too....there is definitely going to be a lift of this one in my future. Thanks for the inspiration Kayleigh!

Here are a couple that caught my eye.

I'm so jealous of Sam's new office

And this one is by Lisa. Love all the layered pattern papers.

I added Kelly's December Daily Book 2009. It is beautifully scrapped, the pictures are wonderful, and it tells a story that will be read over and over again ... just timeless.

Well, this one by Doris is so wonderful. Every detail of her layouts are so thoughtful. I'm always in awe. My favorite part of this layout is how the actual number is so muted and vague because it is not important. I would have totally messed this up and went on about how the number doens't matter then plastered it in hot pink across the page...see the girl (Doris) has it going on upstairs!

This wonderful page by Patricia (iUma) is absolutely intoxicating. The colors are rich, and is there anything better than a family with four generations of beautiful women?

I really liked Karen's title page for her 365 book... the flowers from different seasons with the picture of her family nestled in there is great and set against the black background they look stunning! And what an accomplishment for all of you who have completed this project. All I can say is WOW!

Laura's page was so pretty I think - simple and beautiful:

And Squeak's page was also very unique and special - love it!

This wonderful page by Sawdust really captured a feeling of Christmas in both the subject and the colors.

I loved this one of Esther's because it's cute and because the subject is so wonderfully ordinary; this is one of the many reasons we all scrapbook, I think - to document our everyday lives and all that really goes on (both glamorous and unglamorous).

I have to post two favorites for this week. The first is SOOOO precious. It is by Cassie and I love everything that she did here from the sweet, sweet photo, to the colors to the shape of the photo to the quote...absolutely awesome!

This page by Susie is GORGEOUS...her photography skills are amazing and the papers she used just created such a soft and elegant page. I love it!

I absolutely love these two companion pages from Cindy B that were posted yesterday. The memories that she has so lovingly written down for her parents would warm the heart of any mother and father.

I love the photos from Cindy's childhood & the later one of her daughter . . . having a Dad who read to her is a wonderful gift!

I can just see young Cindy in her mother's kitchen cooking muffins with her in this layout!

Terri!! You're cracking me up! Thanks so much for your kind words about my "wonderfully ordinary" page, lol!
One of my faves last week was this one by Fiona (Applechick) with its beautiful colors, brilliant clustering AND use of white space and graphic elements:

Janet's Christmas Scavenger Hunt is my choice this week. Her use of multiple alphas for her title is such a great idea, and she does it so well! My family might try this game next year

I chose Going to the Sun's/Terri's page--If I Didn't Have You. Her engaging photo first caught my eye, followed by heartfelt jounaling--filled with picturesque imagery and tender thoughts!

Awww, Kayleigh. You brightened up my going back to work week. I wasn't expecting to see one of mine here. Thank you.

So many of my faves are already listed, but here's one that isn't. I love Lullaby by Merr (aka digigrandma). That sweet photo of Theodore is too precious, and those colors just pop.

Linda, you are so kind to mention my generations celebration!! Thank you - especially since I worked on that page for a few days while we were at the beach and it just seemed like it would NOT come together. I think it was just waiting on Katie's roses!!
I am here to tell you, all you who are raising your first generation, that there is NOTHING, no, nothing, as good as this....and Sam has it all right here on this page.
AND DOES HE HAVE HER EYES, or what???
