Happy New Year, everyone! I thought it would be fun to take a trip back through our favorites of 2009 and post the ONE LAYOUT that is your absolute favorite. Even if you can't pick just one . . . JUST PICK ONE!!!

Obviously, this was a tough decision, but I've narrowed my choice down to this page by Sam Ellis. She is a pro at the graphic pages and the joy and excitement in this page is palpable. I get the biggest grin on my face everytime I see it . . . and now we have that sweet baby boy grin to go with it!

Wow, this is one SUPER TOUGH ORDER! I've only been here since May, so I guess that makes my job a bit easier! As I was combing through my faves file, this one by Laura jumped out at me:

The blending is just divine + that photo and all that layering. Just a beautiful piece of work!

This one by Anna does things to me. The beauty of the blending, the emotion of the photos and the wonderful journaling together, together they make one perfect page.

SO very very hard. SO many amazing pages. One LO is impossible.

I have been inspired by so very many people here at DD. Suffice it to say you guys all are amazing artists.

Here is my choice by Phylis. Hauntingly beautiful. It makes me cry every time I look at it.

I don't really put layouts in my favorites folder anymore, because the ones that really stand out to me I remember! These are two I plucked out of my head right away!

I love this one by "esther_a"... the layout is great and the concept is wonderful. I hope I remember to save and take enough pictures to make a book like this for my daughter!




And this one by "Kayleigh" - love her style and this is just one of the many (of her layouts) which stood out to me this year!

I found this Heritage page by Esther to be just so intriguing and love the colors and design of her page. I really like many of Esther's heritage pages, but this is my favorite.

love this one by champsarahjoy so very much. the details are there, and the tiny pops of red are marvelous, but that amazing image of the baby takes center stage.

There is sooo much talent here...it is so much fun to go through the gallery. This was a very difficult decision but I have to go with this one...I adore Kathie's work and I know I'm not the only fan of Buddy out there....her page is stunning!

OMG, this is harder than when you are staring at a blank canvas trying to decide what you want to put on it. But when I got to this one I stopped looking. All of the reasons why I loved it to start with are still there: the soft, timeless, elegant beauty of it. And I am a sucker for little girls with curly hair.

Impossible task! I narrowed it down to about 10! I went with Fiona's (Applechick) 'Paper Doll' for several reasons. First, like Fiona and Merr, as a child, I was enthralled with paper dolls....next, I often incorporate paper dolls/clothes into my mixed media collage projects.....also, I love anything heritage/vintage...and finally, I love Fiona's work--always artsy and unique!

There are soooo many to choose from it is really hard picking one. But it was fun to go through my "favorites" gallery.

Myra's "little man extraordinaire" is one of my most Fav's.



Her photos are amazing and her journaling is always so fun.

I LOVE this one by Fiona-Home For The Summer. It was one of the first pages I ever placed in my Faves after I discovered DD and the gallery. Fiona, you are quite gifted with your scrapping abilities and when my digital skills grow up I want to be just like you!!!

I was browsing through my favorites, thinking what an impossible task this is. You all inspired to me to do better. I chose one that represents one of the styles that I adore. I do clean and simple, and sometimes I wish I could do a style like Mel's. But I don't think I could achieve it like she does. Eclectic, artistic and just fun. Her book of interviews she did for her family was just amazing. Ok, enough rambling. This one in particular went into my faves for the total originality...

It was so fun to scroll through my faves & I am feeling pretty inspired by lots of long lost pages way back in there!! I just love the bright colours in this one by Patricia - the photos are stunning as well!! Love the word strip cluster too.
