Default 365 for 2010

So I am going to attempt a 365 book this year and I need some of your opinions on structure. I am going to do a month page with notes on special events, and then a two page spread for ever 7 days. What I can't decide is how to start . .

Option A: start and end mid week with first spread being jan 1 - 7th

Option B: start first layout with just Jan 1 and 2. then start full weeks, ending with Dec. 23 - Dec. 31 - 1 day short?

Option C: include this week in the album.

Thanks for your input.

Do you need to do a separate title page or would you be happy with using Jan 1-2 as a title page? That could make option B easier.

Lisa, this year I haven't been strict with my 7 days, if it was 8 days between a Sunday and the end of the month then I did an 8 day. I wasn't strict with the 7 photos either. My pages were a representation of the week, whether it be 5 photos or 8 photos or anywhere in between.

My advice, don't impose too many rules on yourself, it will drive you nuts.

I want to do one this year too. I really liked seeing everyones and agree with carolee....I think it will just be what ever. If I go on vacation...that will definately have more pics if it is a stay at home, rainy boring week...more philosophical pages etc. I am going to stick with color theme, and perhaps even a layout theme. I look forward to others starting this journey for the first time too!!

I decided to do mine by week, but I wanted to have each month look different. I needed an even number of pages for each month so the facing pages would match.
So in some months I have a week with 8+ days, and some with a week of only 2-3 days. Other times, I've added in an extra day to make it fit, for holidays or trips. I actually made all my templates for 2010 so I could just drop in the photos for the year; you can see them here.

Let me know if you want more details about how I made it all fit the way I wanted it to.

Wow-that is super organized! I guess it is time to think about how to get started! 2010 is nearly here. I like the vintage journaling look of my December Daily-so I might go with something like a journal for the 365, but I haven't even decided. I do know that I will do week by week -Jan 1-7 and so on- I do lesson planning that way so it is a format I know. So some weeks will run from one month to the next, if that is how the calendar falls.

I started my 365 pages in November this year. I found it has been a really good trial to see how my template works in practice. Lucky I did! I have modified it heaps to make it simpler to use and give me the balance between text and photos. So fingers crossed, I will have a head start on 2010! I agree with Carol, it's a lot easier to stick to if you don't make it too complicated.

I'm planning to do the 365 for the first time and I am a slow scrapper and a procrastinator with not a lot going on... no little ones at home. But I really want to do this so I know I have to have my template ahead of time. So I am going to keep it pretty simple. I'm going to make my template using a template and choose the paper packs I will be using so it will pretty much be the same LO but different paper. The template that I am working on for my book was inspired by Elena, Kayleigh, and Carol or do you prefer Carollee? With a little twist though. So since I'm kind of copying people that should make it real easy hunh, we shall see. I hope these ladies won't be upset with me for fusing their ideas.

Angela, I'm so interested in seeing the design you come up with, it's going to be a wonderful template coming from their styles!
