Default 2010 365

Is anyone pondering their 365 for 2010? I started last year, but just got bogged down. With the December Daily, I actually look forward to journaling every day in response to what is happening and a quote- and then a photo-or at least an image of some sort
Have any of you done that for a year? Or does anyone have any thoughts? How many of you are going to work on another 365?

I did the 365 this year. Taking a break from it and not doing it next year.

Have been doing it this year. Somedays though it seems like a chore that has to get done before you can play around with what you really want to do. I am changing mine up a bit next year based on my December page for this year. I am doing one page with lots of little daily photos and a facing page with journaling. Then to fill in for the month I will use any challenge pages I make or any pages with photo/s I particularly like or special events for that month. In fact, after Joey's thread the other day for a cover for her 2009 book, I set up my monthly spreads (some still need some work) and my title page and front and back cover are all done. I am hoping that this format will give me a more accurate reflection our lives for this coming year.

I think I will continue to do it. Just the fact that it makes me take more pictures is a plus and I really like to be able to look back and see what was going on (even if not much goes on in our life )

I did it this year and don't want to burn myself out. Instead I am doing weekly challenges and doing a page a week... but just different =)

I will revisit again I know because I loved doing it this year =)

I did the 365 for 2009 and I am doing it again for 2010. It's been such a blessing to our family, and to me personally. I have recorded the precious (everyday) moments and how we felt about them. I look forward to seeing 2009 in print!

I am working on my 2010 template. My only complaint about 2009 is that I never get to scrap creatively. I had my template and wanted to keep my 2009 book consistant. I long to scrap for fun, but there is no reason to as the LO doesn't have a book to go in! I want to change this for 2010, but I am don't have the details worked out yet!

I have been thinking of trying it. More for photo taking experience than anything. I am trying to be positive about not getting behind, but i'm sure I will. I figure whatever I get done is better than not doing it!

I got 6 weeks behind a time or two, but I was determined to keep going! If I can do this project, anybody can!

I'd like to do it. But I find that without my kids around, there's just not that much to talk about. Does anyone else have that trouble?

Thats what I was thinking and why I think I might go with quotes for inspiration on the days when-really life is just status quo

I didn't do that this year. But I think I might do a monthly. I just can't seem to do a photos 7 days a week, let alone 7 days 52 weeks.

I have that problem Kerry. I think we're at that stage between having adult children who are gone and no grandchildren yet!

Cnewby's 365 pages: cnewby Gallery - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals might help you out some. She takes a photo and scraps a memory that the photo triggers. I could never write like her, but I think her thoughts & memories are priceless to future generations. Just thought this might help!

Kerry, it's just me and my husband here, my step children live elsewhere (but visit), and just the dogs and cat otherwise. I've found plenty to photograph and journal. (and to be honest, we're not overly exciting people!!! te he)

I'm considering it next year but in a way different format.

Kerry, I have no kids. There's so much beauty in my own "backyard" I never lacked for subjects. Sometimes for inspiration, but never subjects.

Also, for P365, the neighbor kids and your friends' kids are perfect. It's never, "Oh Mom - not the camera again". They are just thrilled to see themselves in your pages and on your blog. For safety's sake, I don't use names or places, but the kids don't care about that, they just like being a tiny bit famous.

I haven't decided if I am going to do P365 again. I got behind a few times, but caught up and I am so glad that I did it this year, but I ended up way behind on scrapping all of the other pictures. If I do it again, I am thinking about doing it in a different format. I have even thought about combining it into my regular yearly album and just doing a monthly page with my daily photos for the month followed by all of the pages that I normally scrap for the month. Still thinking....

I am almost caught up with my 365 pages...(hopefully this week) and I don't think I'll do it again in 2010. I am at the same inbetween places as Kerry, Marnie and Carollee....kids gone and no gc yet. While we do have gorgeous landscape scenery.....it got to be a struggle in October, as it's our busiest time of the year, and I am still struggling. With all that being said my family of adult guys....LOVE my 365 book and can't wait to see it in print.

I'm in that same spot, no young kids at home and no gc, and most of the time my life is quite boring. However, I have been so inspired by those of you that have been doing the project and I mainly want to do it in hopes of improving my photography. I'm working on my template cause I know that is the only way I will be able to keep up. With that list that Katrina gave us, I'm sure I will find something to photograph.

I too am going to try this for this year. I haven't had the best luck at sticking with a project like this, life sometimes gets in the way, but I'm hoping I will do better this time.

I'm going to try doing a photo a day but I'm not planning on really scrapping them just using one of the calendars to plop in the pictures then I'll add pages for other things going on here. Someone suggested using the town you live in as a basis for the photos so it's educational as well :-) and I thought that was a cool idea so I may try that. I think it really helps your photography to do the project but I'm afraid all the scrapping and journaling would be tooo much for me right now.

It just isn't feasible for me to try this project again next year. I included journaling with every photo and it was a tremendous amount of work. It helped me take more pictures, and take better pictures. I think that made it worth it. But even with children at home, my life in a small town is blah, and I really struggled for inspiration for a photo every day. I miss the opportunities to sit and scrap my "other" pictures; I'm not about four months behind, which has never happened to me as long as I've been scrapping. So I'm looking forward to December 31; the end of 365, the end of December Daily, and the beginning of catching up!

YOU have one of the most fascinating everyday lives of anyone I've seen! I love all your pictures, and your stories. You might think yourself in a rut, or that it's hard, but think about your great-grandchildren. They may not live out in the country; they might live in a big city, and never know anything about the life you lived. How exotic it would seem to them! I'm so grateful to have seen all these pages from everyone and how they live so differently from me.

I'd love to try it in 2010, but I think a week in review would be most feasible for me as I'm not sure I can take a photo a day with work commitments.

I think I may try this as a weekly project next year. We also have no kids left at home (or grandchildren yet) and currently no pets either but I really like the idea of it pushing me to take more photos. I'm really enjoying my December daily so far.

It's so funny Kerry because I was reading this thread and I was thinking 'with my kids around I just don't have the time to scrap!!" LOL. If it's not one thing it's another!

Seriously though you should do 365. Do it as a creative extension of your amazing photography. I'd love to see it!

I plan on continuing with 365 but I'm going to scrap it a bit differently, not sure how yet.

I love how much I could watch my photography develop through the year!

Katrina started the photo a day group on Flicker in 2008, and I did a photo a day almost all that year. This year it was 365 pages. I don't think I am going to do pages again next year, and I might just post once or twice a week in the flickr group and put those into a photo book. I am finding that I am repeating myself now. I love when someone gives me an assignment.
