Default If you're doing 365 and Daily December...

Just curious how you're going to overlap them? Will the month of December show up in both books? I'm debating what I want to do...

I've been wondering about this myself! Curious to hear what others have to say.

I wish I was doing Daily December, but I don't have room in my 2009 book. I am a freak and I like my whole year to be in one book. sigh. I will sit on the sidelines again this year.

I wasn't going to do a separate December book this year but then I took Jessica Sprague's Holidays In Hand book and was inspired to create one. December will have its own book as well as being in my 365. The December book will have two page spreads because it will also incorporate photos and memories from past Decembers and most of the hard work on it is done thanks to Jessica. I just have to pop in some photos from this year and add some journaling. In my 365 I have a two page spread to cover the whole month and then the option to add in pages for special events or days or whatever. Like the day we bake cookies will probably have a two page spread, one for the recipe and one with some photos of us baking. I have template pages set up for all of that so nothing will be too overwhelming. And wow, did I just talk way too much.

I will keep doing my 365 like I've been with POTD and in a separate book the more detailed days of december. We LOVE looking at the Daily December book and the much more detailed journaling I include.

Dorah, I saw your first page at js.com and it looks great!

I am continuing with my 365 project and making a December Daily as well. I guess I'll just take a lot of photos next month! I don't mind using the same photo in both if I have to occasionally. My December Daily is paper and is sitting on my desk right now ready for photos and journaling!

Mine will be in both books, since they are separate entities. And December will also appear in my 2009 family book, as well.

I was leaning toward doing both too, but I'm going to be optimistic that it won't take me a year to do my December book this time!

I will be using the 'POTD' photo plus approx. five others on my dec daily pages. so I think it will be different and stand alone. my 365 photos will be in a book of the whole year, and this will be 'christmassy' so I dont think they will conflict
I tell you I am so glad I took the time to make my pages for dec daily already. at least on mad crazy days they are ready to just pop in a photo and go

I am just combining them... I am going to end my 365 with doing the Dec daily. I use the D-rings so both will fit =) I just don't think I can keep up with both and I want to do the Dec daily. Best of both worlds for me.

hmmmm...... I haven't thought about it yet. I'm thinking though that I would like two separate books.

I'm the opposite of Katrina with my journaling in the 365 book and more or less just photos in the DecDaily book. My 365 book takes time for me to do the pages with the matts and journaling. I want to do the Dec Daily book, too so I've made up the pages already and all I have to do is drop in the pics. I am not journaling in this one since I feel it will be sad with two of my guys being deployed. So, I am currently searching for the perfect song, poem or story to use as the text throughout the book.

Kelly that sounds like a beautiful idea. I think each of us needs to do it in the way that is true to who we are and where we are in our lives. A four year old in the house fosters need for remembering the tiniest moment for both him and me.

Hugs to you this holiday season. Your boys are in my thoughts.

I am doing both - but the Daily December will be more only about Christmas stuff we do and journaling. While in my 365 I always keep short in the journaling so they will not overlap too much I hope. And there will be two photobooks from this.

I am doing both. I'm guessing that now and then the same photo may appear in both, but I'll try to avoid that. I can't see doing a book for Project 365 that omits a whole month, and the Daily December bug just bit me hard this year, so we'll see how it goes, but I'm hoping to avoid a lot of overlap.

Sigh... I'm still workin' on mine from last year, so you're one (or a million!) steps ahead of me! And, I'll be doing both, separately... in about another year. ha.

This year I'm doing the "December Daily" to be more like the "Our Family Christmases" album - some 40 Christmases, in one album. I wont do another one then for a few decades (maybe).
If you are going for both projects, maybe approaching the December Daily from an "unusual perspective" will inspire you to take different pictures and write diff. journaling: how about doing a humorous one, from the pet's perspective, or maybe the baby's (or some other family member)? Throw your hat in the ring - I'm sure we can come up with all sorts of ideas!
Just my two cents ... I dont post often, but I guess you can tell I'm a big supporter of the 365 Project (and the December Daily).
