I started paper scrapping in 2004. I was single at the time, and I was heading on a 10 day vacation with a friend. I thought that would be a perfect way to jump in. Fast forward a couple years to January or February 2007. I had just had my first son, and I realized that dragging out my paper supplies would never work with a little one around if I wanted to get anything done in a few months when he was mobile. I'd always used PSE to edit my photos, so I saw a few tutorials and jumped in with a few layouts.

As a side note, while I'm not a big believer in going back and re-working old layouts, I actually did just go back and change that first layout tonight. I had a mistake in it (a gap between bordering pictures), and I've learned so much since then that I had to make a few adjustments. I think the two-page layout looks a lot more like "me" now. :-)

I love digi-scrapping because clean-up is a breeze and I never have to worry about using up the "perfect" piece of paper that I should maybe have saved for an even better layout. Yes, I'm picky like that. :-)
