Default Printing a deep navy blue textured paper

Hello All!

I am trying to nail down my Christmas Card idea and hope that it works. I am using one of Pattie Knox's templates (snowflake). I put a very deep navy blue textured paper as the bottom layer (Jen Wilson Blue Attitude from the New Attitude Kit). I have the Epson R2400 printer. For now, I am printing on Ultra Premium Presentation Matte Paper. When my print came out the blue was so DEEEEEP you could not see any of the texture. I'm sure there is a better way, but I am playing with the opacity to just try to lighten it up. It sure doesn't look like it does on my monitor. Also, my printer menu gives me the option to let the printer manage the colors or Photoshop. I am using CS 3and it appears that by selecting Photoshop to manage the colors it is slightly better. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this beautiful paper stand out?

Thanks,

Kim

try adjusting the curves. Where there's the largest rise in the histogram, click and grab on the line and raise up slightly--that might help!

Are all of your devices calibrated the same way? The same color spaces and everything?
