Hi ladies,

Just going through some of pages and I find it sad that my favorite pages are LIFTS! I guess I do my best work off of inspiration!

So I wanted to say thank you for all of your wonderful pages and the wonderful inspirations here at DD..

I don't think I've ever done a page---paper or digital---that wasn't a pretty obvious lift. Isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery?

Kristen, that's not sad! Some of my own favorite pages use templates and I think, wow, I should always use templates. I think we bring our own creativity to a page whether we scraplift or use templates or create from scratch, so to speak.

You are so sweet to start a thank you thread. I'll just add my own thank you to all of you who post in our gallery using DD products.....I'm always inspired when I browse in the DD gallery.

templates are the best thing ever. and nothing in the scrap world is original...so i say SCRAP LIFT!!!!

You're so sweet! I think I lift much more than I think I do, the wonderful pages in the gallery stick to my mind without my knowing, until I see it again!

some of my faves are templates. I forget how easy templates are to use. And the other day I did my halloween layouts using two pages for one of Anna's fotoblendz albums and Katie's Frightful kit. I'm so loving it. I definitely have to crack open those templates more often and lift the talented ladies here more often.

Oh gosh. Don't feel sad at all. There is so much inspiration here; 90% of my pages are lifts or templates - mostly lifts. I think that lifting people is one of the best ways to learn.

I've been thinking about how much my pages have improved, and I'm certain it's almost entirely due to the influence of the fabulous scrappers here at DD. So I'll add my thanks as well!

oh good to hear!! I think I do the same as Chris - sometimes I see a LO in my favs and think.. oops I think I lifted that one w/out realizing it!!

I think we are all influenced in some way or another by pages we have seen in the past. Often you remember a little thing and you wind up using it without even being aware that you lifted it. I guess that's why it's called inspiration Now lifting a whole page is a little more obvious and deserves credit. I am always happy about all the eye candy in our gallery and your pages are always so pretty, so don't feel bad and keep going

I think it is a lot of fun to scraplift someone and before you know it you will discover your style and others will be lifting you.

In the end, it all starts with a piece of inspiration. For me, it could be a lo, a template, a photo, journaling, the list goes on. There are so many sources to credit! And you're so sweet to recognize it!
