Default i DECIDED!!!!

....on my next digital adventure
i have just a few precious pictures from my childhood. i put most of them into an UGLY CM album i made back in the day. no stories, no journaling.
as i look thru the pictures i remember so many things i want my kiddos to know about me....so i think the next few weeks will find me scanning TONS of pics.
any suggestions on papers that will go well with 70's pics??? LOL.

that's a lovely idea! The kiddos will so appreciate that. I always say I should do one for my hubby's childhood & one for mine and still haven't. Can't wait to see.

I get such a chuckle when I hear you young'ins say that heritage is 70's and 80's....It makes me feel so old. I thought heritage was 30's to 50's....LOL.

Heritage pages are so rewarding, it's always such fun to go diving into our past! If you look you will find tons of supplies, Katie's genealogy series is amazing! Have a ball!

Great decision!
Okay, I love pairing papers with eras! My undergrad was in fashion journalism so my go to for inspiration is the world of fashion and fabric. Here's a fun site:
Retro Age Vintage Fabrics, vintage fabrics, vintage fabric, vintage fabric australia, retro age, vintage fabrics, remnants, fat quarters, fabric, fabrics
70's colors: avocado, brown, mustard gold, orange; if you want to go with a brighter color palette, you can borrow from the wild, psychedelics of the 60's!
Here some suggestions:
70's palette and style

Whoop de Doo Paper Pack

Whoop de Doo Solid Paper Pack

Golden Silence Paper Pack

Also check out Pattie Knox's

Absolutely Acrylic: That 70s Stuff

And one of my LONG TIME favorites for that laid back 70s surf look--Katie Pertiet's:

Surf Shak Paper Pack

Now for the 60s!! More bright and mod!!

I'm using this one for some Disney pages:

This one could be 50's as well:

What a wonderful list, Marnie! I have always loved textiles and it was so much fun to use an authentic fabric from the era when I was designing a vintage house! Loved that web site!

Suggestion of neutrals by Anna--important! Even though I LOVE color and prints, I usually choose one neutral for my background paper--for consistency throughout the project and for some 'white space'!
