Default hit a wall:)

the kids got sick.
i ran out of pictures from november.
i am scared to go back and start doing digital pages with the picture i have already printed.
my computer is a mess...files all over the place.
are those enough reasons why i haven't scrapped for a few days? LOL.
any motivation????

Pick one photo you LOVE and pick a SIMPLE template that lets your CREATIVE thoughts begin again so you can have FUN and not be overwhelmed.

As for the files..............break it down to bite size pieces. Spend 30 minutes a day (if time allows) and begin organizing photos/supplies in a method that works for you. Small bits at a time. Looking at the the massive picture can be overwhelming and frustrating, but accomplishing small bits each day can feel very positive.

Good luck! Hope the kids are better!

Take an old paper LO, scan in the pics, and see what your new digital skills and elements can do ... ;-)

Or pick a LO from your favorites folder and lift it ...

those are great ideas! Do one of the challenges maybe. Don't be afraid to reuse printed photos, I have been doing it a lot

OH NO! Don't get overwhelmed. Photos all over the place is just part of the package in Digital Scrapping. There is no such thing as being caught up.

Take some time to organize your photos. Go through what you do have just a month at a time. I organize chronologically but you can also organize by theme.

As you go through your images, you're like ly to be inspired by what you already have and proceed to work from there.

Enjoy a break. Sometime it really cooks the mojo to stay away ...for a bit. You'll be back at it in no time.

I frequently take month-long breaks from doing any scrapping. Often I find the organizing of photos, supplies, and ideas to be very therapeutic and calming. I feel peaceful knowing that when I want to get started again, everything will be exactly where it should be. I am a slob in real life, but cannot stand any sort of mess on my computer. It's really strange.

I have to admit, though, that I'm caught up and ready to start jumping into old pictures that have not been scrapped yet, and those projects overwhelm me. I don't know where to start.

So I think I'm going to spend some time organizing my photos!

LOL, I spend a lot of time organizing my photos and not just on the computer, Sarah. I've got boxes of old photos, slides, photo albums, etc. I could spend 24/7 organizing.

Arimacias, sorry the kids were sick....that can take away mojo every time. You'll be back soon, I'm sure.

I used to do torn edges---until I discovered Anna's torn edges series. Like the kraft paper, there is a whole series of these. They're perfect.

You've found me out---I've got 400 photos from my dad's family (grandmother, great-grandparents) that I took out of the old black photobooks (they were glued down with rubber cement---took 20 bottles of Un-Do to remove all the pictures!) a few years ago. I've scanned most of them, but just do not want to start a digital album. I feel overwhelmed with heritage pages, especially since I don't know most of the stories. They're just pictures.
