Default has anyone.........

given up paper scrapping altogether?
just wondering because the more i digi the more i like it. i officially ran out of space many moons ago and digital makes soooooooo much more sense.
i have a bunch of paper supplies that are just gathering dust....it is so much easier and portable to do digi...plus i really like the idea of flat, pretty books.
any thoughts?

I dumped all of my paper stuff some time back. I kept it for a year and then finally sold it. What I didn't sell, I gave away. Haven't looked back.

Oh, goodie, I think you are officially hooked on digi!

I never paper scrapped! I discovered digi scrapping after I retired from teaching. Photoshop Elements came bundled with my first digital camera. I started experimenting with it and it didn't take long for me to get hooked on this hobby.

I used to make greeting cards using paper supplies and rubber stamps. I still make a few cards now and then, but, I combine my own photos and digi papers with the rubber stamps now.

Still have tons of paper supplies hoarded in the closet, but I can't imagine going back. Soooo much easier and no desk space required!

Gave up the paper 2 years ago...after paper scrapping for almost 30 years!!! My plans for the winter are to go through my paper stuff and sell it (so I can buy more digi supplies)!! Less of a mess and easier when you have a really small house!!!

Hehe, you're hooked!!

I've been digi for almost a year now, and I think I've done about 2 paper LOs since then. I just find the whole paper process so clunky now, having to drag out all my supplies. And stamps are the most frustrating - not being able to flip a flourish lol!

However, I've not been brave enough to dump my paper supplies yet. I still use them for swaps, circle journals, ATCs. I like doing some altered art projects too. Best thing is that now I can combine digi and paper in these projects.

I also gave a lot of my stickers to my daughter to play with. She loves playing with my ribbons and buttons.

I'm about to have a serious cull of my supplies though, and hand a lot to a local hospice, my aunt got me into scrapping, and also volunteered there. They looked after her after she got cancer, and unfortunately died. So I'd like to give something back.

I still have all my paper supplies although I haven't touched them in a year. I just have a tough time parting with them I always think that maybe I'll make a card or two or the kids might want to venture into it, but that's just me. I really should just get rid of it all once and for all

I'm new to digi scrapping (about 2 months) but by the time I had finished one layout in Patti's Template class I started selling my paper supplies on Ebay. I now have almost enough to get a mac :-) I always loved the pics and the stories but not the art so much.. even in digital I spend hours looking at other's layouts in the galleries and oh-ing and ah-ing but I know I'll never do it. I somehow got the photo/story gene but must have been out the day they gave out the art gene :-( I did save one box of paper/stickers etc for kids school projects.. but outside of that I now have a nice, neat, empty scraproom DonnaNJ

i am thinking of keeping the basics. 8.5x11 cardstock, a few stamps inks etc....but the bulk of it is going bye-bye. i am loving the digi so much more.it really is the epitome of my favorite word: condense

I never paper scrapped so all my paper bits and bobs are for collage work - which has truly fallen by the wayside!

I started with digi last February or March and I haven't touched any paper since. I actually donated everything but cardstock and tools last month. I have no desire to go back to paper AT ALL. Welcome to the dark side.

I paper scrapped for about 9 years before I went digi three years ago, but I never stockpiled supplies. I was on a tight budget, so I never bought stamps, all the cutting and fancy tools, and whatnot. I used paper, stickers, and albums. And some chalk---I loved chalking and using watercolor pencils. But other than that, when I quit, all I had left was a pair of scissors (which I still use), my trimmer (which I still use), and about 50 sheets of various paper. I've let my daughter play with the paper.

When I started digi, I completely quit paper that very day. I even still have a half-finished album on my shelf that, instead of finishing with paper, I tore the pictures out, gave the album away, and will re-do it digitally in the next couple of years.

Digital is addictive, for sure. My 12X12 albums even fit on my bookshelf---I have adjustable shelves, so I put them on the lower shelf and my 8X8s fit perfectly on the top shelf.

I tried to do both for a long time and paper just frustrated me. I sold all my paper supplies at a garage sale and treated myself to awesome camera equipment! I have been a digi scrapper since 2007. I paper scrapped for 10 years prior to that.

Best of luck!

Elena that is a fab idea for a layout, I may have to lift it. Arimacias, i am new to digital, about 3 months into it and i love it. i paper scrapped since 1999 and i don't see me going back to it much. I do work at a scrapbooking store and will still design for them, but for my personal stuff it will be all digital.

I'm not totally converted yet. I'm still doing some paper LOs to finish off a few albums but I am finding it feels much more clumsy now! I have made a few hybrid pages and find that works really well for framing photos and adding journaling, but still lets me use up some of my paper goodies (of which there are tons and I can't let go yet!!)

I started digital scrapping in 2004 and quickly tired of using paper. Paper doesn't have an undo button! I kept a few of my favorite supplies and make other fun crafty projects with them, but all my scrapbook pages are digital now.

I am done with paper scrapping too. I worked on Paper for about 7 years, but I am getting ready to auction it all off. I will keep my cardstock stash for adding my card pag

I've been selling all my stuff and I plan on using what I can't sell in hybrid projects for christmas and then I'll donate the rest to day care for crafts. Digi is the only way to go...and DD makes it so darn wonderful and exciting!

I feel like the odd man out here. Rather than move from paper to digital, I started with digital and am now really getting into paper for mini albums and cards (not full pages). I'm making my Daily December with paper, acrylic, overlays, chipboard, etc., and having a blast. I'm loving the dimension and texture. Feel free to send me your unused paper supplies! :-)

Funny you should ask... I have spent the last 3 evenings making hybrid Christmas cards. Just enjoy cutting and punching sometimes but... 3 evenings is way too much so it's back to digi for awhile... got my fix. Still holding on the the stash as I do enjoy making paper cards
