Default shutterfly background look-a-likes

two years ago shutterfly and i filled a 12x12 book to capacity with pictures of our first family vacation to green bay as a gift to my husband. a couple kids later, and i'm working like mad to get the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years done before Christmas. my husband's been looking for me to get them done, and wants them to be in the same cover/theme/layout.

i just today discovered i could scrap book the pages on pse7! no more grumbling at the pre-set layouts! so obvious. i simply never thought about it until i started looking through some of their examples, and found my way here.

however, i still need to use some of the work (pages) i've already completed with shutterfly's backgrounds, and am dashing around in search of some that will coordinate/match.

on the off-chance that anyone would have any good leads - maybe a shot in the dark - but i would hate to learn later that their backgrounds can be found at x/y/z.com (read: a product here i'm overlooking).

thanks so much! i am so happy to have found this site! in one day i seem to have upgraded from 'photo book creator' to digital scrapbooker.

You found a wonderful place... but I am pretty sure there isn't anything that is an exact match to the shutterfly backgrounds. My guess is that you could recolor or modify some of the designs here to get what you are after. Might take a little leg work but you should be able to pull it off =) Good luck and welcome!!!!

I'm so glad you found your way here and discovered the joys of digital scrapping with PSE 7.

For this book, I used the same green textured Shutterfly background paper on every page and just dropped my 12 x 12 scrapbook pages into their template for one large photo on every page to give my unmatched digital pages made with DD supplies a more coordinated look. Would that help you?

Mel, that is such a wonderful idea! I have so many pages that don't match and doing what you did would give me a way of putting them into a book together. Thanks for the great tip!

Ditto what Anke said Mel. Taking a lot of independent pages, and using the same background really is a great idea. It makes a the 8x8 book really a clever way to see the pages and a nice gift if the pages are about someone.

oh my goodness! thank you all *so* much.

using the big picture vs the full bleed looks amazing. what a lovely book! plus i do have something that could be recolored for added husband-pleasing album coordination, and suddenly i'm a little giddy. this is going to turn out so much better than had i been able to resize and nudge shutterfly's picture layouts with my mind. (and never discovered the all of this!)

thank you all again! this helped so much, and i have to say: shopping for paper was a hoot. i'm thankful to have found an all-in-one site.
