Default Is anyone else planning on doing December Daily?

Just curious... I bought Katie's template set so I could try to do this.. it looks like such fun !! And the albums posted on Heather's thread were truly inspiring. Is anyone else doing the December Daily this year? when you did it last year did you post them somewhere specific? or just in the general gallery? Notice how I'm assuming I'm actually going to be able to keep up :-)

Not I. I will of course have a photo from each day and am thinking of making my December 365 pages all similar in color.

I'm doing it again this year. It's my kids' favorite book of all the books I've done so far. Last year there was a thread here for December Daily, so we all posted our pages in the general gallery, but linked to them in the thread as we got them done. With a picture a day, December Daily will be easy. And it's usually an exciting month filled with activities, so it's not a chore or a burden to take a couple of pictures every day.

My book last year was my first 12x12 book and it is my favorite!!! I had so much fun last year doing these pages. I actually looked forward to decorating and cooking for the holidays. It's usually just me doing everything since I have only guys here (and they have to be prodded into helping with things like holidays) so this book was a way that I could have fun documenting all the little details and share with others who actually cared. :O) (The men in my house aren't as bad as they sound) lol

I am definitely doing it again this year, but since I'm doing the 365 book I've made up my pages in advance with Katie's templates and Michelle Martin's Bella Kit. Now, I can just drop the pictures in for each day and add a little journaling or something.

I got so much out of it last year that I hope others will consider doing it, too. It could be as simple as one photo each day and that's it! It's a great Holiday coffee table book. (I'm such an infomercial for things that I like). lol

I might try some December weekly pages, but I'm not sure I could come up with enough for a daily album.

I'm almost done with my book from last year. I wasn't going to play, but then I saw Katie's templates, and what the heck? I can't resist!

I am going to give it a try and warm up to do a 365 for 2010. I can't wait to see the pages.

I'm going to try. I wasn't even giving it a second thought until I saw Katie's templates.

I am keeping on with my 365 and lets hope by December I will have caught up. Maybe in a years time I may do it, but I still don't know how my December will be shaping up this year and we haven't dared even discussed Christmas Day plans yet.

A lot of my pages last year were either one-photo pages with a story (which felt like cheating to me because I never do one-photo layouts!) or repetition. I'd shoot three or four pictures of my son with different expressions, and plop! they'd all go in the book.

It's easier than it sounds. December is so busy, there's plenty to take pictures of. Even if it's just a mini-365 with one photo per page. One day I didn't even take a picture, I told the story about our vacation with family to Alabama. The story was the important thing for that day.

It never hurts to try, right?

I remember viewing last years December Dailys and wished I had participated. After seeing Katie's templates, it persuaded me to give it a go too. I could never do a 365 project because December Daily will be pushing me enough.

I wasnt going to do one, because my sons wont be here again for Christmas, but after looking at all the books on the other thread-I have changed my mind-I think I could have some fun documenting all that is Christmas here in Las Vegas! It certainly doesnt include the baking and all that was such an awesome part of years past-but it will be a celabatory month well worth documenting-thanks for the great inspiration!

I bought the kit, and was planning on it. But I realize I am barely keeping my head above water with the 365 pages, and don't want to push that so close to the end! But I LOVE the idea of Kellie's books being coffee table ones during the holidays--a way to show the years. So it is on my list for next year!! (Or maybe I could find a way to put lots of years into one???)

Well, you may not have all the baking, but in Las Vegas, there have got to be amazing decorations, lights, etc---I bet the Strip goes all-out. Surely there are enough things going on that you can have fun doing it!

Valerie, I think "Christmas in Las Vegas" would be a GREAT book! You could do a whole page on the Bellagio decorations alone! I'm betting you will find yourself seeking out fun things to do just to document them and having a blast doing them. :O) Like Sarah said, I can just imagine the lights and the sites you could capture during the holidays.

Thats what I was thinking-every year since my boys grew up and joined the navy, I struggle with this time of year, but I think a photobook will be the perfect thing--it will be fun to look for the Christmas!!!
