Default analyzing the supply/technique addictions of others (beginning with patriciaz)

I'll start:
Patriciaz has an addiction to the white paper in the Jouets collection.

I was looking through Patricia's gallery tonight and noting how much I loved the effect she got with the white paper she used. I started looking through her supply lists. I saw that Jouets Collection was on her supply list on one. . . and another . . . and another . . . and then finally she admitted it in the comments: "I have a serious problem with the white paper in the Jouets Collection." Her problem might just become mine

Your turn. Take a look at the gallery of the person who last posted on this thread and come tell us what you see as a recurring product, technique, design element . . . or maybe something you hadn't thought of using that you're now inspired to use.

And now I'm off to make a page with the white paper from the Jouets collection.

LOL...that is so true! Patricia is addicted to that white paper. She works it well.

Janeposted a LO before me. All her LO's look very different from each other but she definitely has a style. I would have to say she is addicted to multi photo LO's (which she rocks, loads of inspiration there) and a lot of photo masks like...
Anna Aspnes Art play & Fotoblendz

I didn't even know there was a 12X12 template book for fotoblendz? Very cool. Can't wait to see what other addictions all the DD girls have.

Default Shellb posted before me...

Looking through her gallery, I noticed two things! (1) She does pages in themes. You will see four or five pages in a row about a trip/etc. and the pages are very similar in layout. And No(2) She seems to like beige and blue a lot! Wonderful gallery Michelle! (nice little game Debbie) ~Dawnee

Dawneephay:
I am excited to catch this thread where I did. I love checking out her gallery. I am always so inspired by all the "heritage photo's" or what I call pre-digital. I am always reminded to start scanning in old photo's.

I am so impressed with the way she mixes and blends all the elements so the new elements don't overtake the photos.

Hope I explained this okay.

Lisa has a great eclectic style! She uses multi photos on many of her pages and has lots of fun titles! I did see an consistent use of stitching! Woohoo! Got to love that! (and did I mention her kids are pretty cute too!)

Such a cool thread Debbie!

Looking through Lisa's gallery, I noticed that she likes to use big bold titles that really stand out and also, she uses that sort of yellowy brown color as a base that helps tie all her pages together. I'm sure they all will (or do!) look great in a book together!

ETA:

Well Katrina beat me... so I'll do her as well. We all know what Katrina is known for- her amazing photography and KRAFT! Her pages are always just right, I can't ever do what she does, I always need more stuff. I'm always drawn to them though

What a FUN thread to start! Brittany has great layouts that seem to have squared off photos and papers as a sort of graphic, but not graphic design (which I love). Then she appears to shrink her whole layout and place it on another paper on most of her pages. I've only recently started doing this extra border and I think it adds a lot to the page. :O) (I always love seeing pictures of her pup, too)

Without looking through Kelly's gallery:
1. I already know that her layouts are always original and touched with humor.
2. I know that I LOVE Kelly's layouts about her boys & about her dogs!
3. Kelly loves her neutral colors and can just make them sing.
4. The photos on Kelly's layouts are always so meaningful . . . I just love the way in which Kelly's mind works.

Gosh, Kelly . . . I'm so glad that you are here and posting such great inspiration in the DD gallery. I have learned so much from your pages.

I typed the first sentence really fast just so I could be sure that I would get to comment on you, Kelly! Then I cheated and edited to say what I really wanted to say in the first place!

I'm typing fast because I LOVE Mollie's gallery.

1) She has the most amazing photos (her baby shots are perfection!) I especially love the newborn shots..delicate, soft and beautiful.
2) She always rocks the multiphoto layout!
3) Her heritage pages are always beautiful.
4) She inspires me to read (I always read her suggestions in the DD community thread but I'm too shy to comment usually!)

I cheated as well!

Oh, Doris' gallery is so full of fabulous LOs! Two things strike me right away: (1) She loves neutrals and soft pastel colors and (2) her photos really are the focal point of her LOs. Her photos just grab your attention and don't let go!!

YES, I get to comment on Tracy's gallery. I don't even know where to begin...I think what I like about Tracy's style is that EVERY page is so unique and so incredibly creative. She loves to use strong colors that make her photos POP right off of the page. Her pages are always SOOOO inspiring!

Well, believe it or not, ladies, I actually do look at the gallery (even if I don't have time to always comment!) and I just LOVE Jana's gallery. She's got those extractions DOWN and uses them SO effectively. Jana, keep thinking outside of the box, because your gallery rocks! (and I rhyme. )

Cassie's pages are all beautiful and the thing that stands out most to me is how wonderfully she uses photos that take the whole page. She is most creative with her titles and the way she positions the text. She uses softer paper colors for the most part rather than dark. She has quite a few that have wonderful "white space"...besides being an incredible tutorial writer.

Righto here's what I see when I look at Vicki's Gallery. I see pages that are almost whimsical in nature and she's using some amazing effects on the photographs that turn them into pure artwork. It's very inspiring to wander through Vicki's Gallery.

(this will be interesting who comments next, because I don't think I have a style)

I think Carols style is very elegant with lots of clean lines - her fabulous photos really take centre stage. She uses white space well too.

I'll go next 'cos I get to comment on Michelle's fabulous gallery!

Michelle makes great use of space to allow her stunning photography to shine. She often uses creams and neutrals in the background. She has a real eye for detail and chooses her alpha, elements and patterned paper judiciously to add the perfect pops of color. Her style is evolving, with more clustering, and she's doing it brilliantly.

Esther is an adventurous scrapper!! She's got:
multi-photo and single-photo,
traditional paper-like pages and ones that utilize digi-magic like cool photo masks,
clean lines and eclectic,
templates and her own design.

Definitely can't pinpoint any "habits" or repeated product use. But she usually has a title and it's always well placed and designed. I always enjoy looking at her pages.

What a cool idea, Debbie!

Such a fun idea

What I seem to find when looking at Kathleen's gallery is the use of a title on all her pages. And the next is use of frames is appearing on most of her pages as well.

I am having a ball looking over Blossoms gallery. I want you to go over there to see her fabulous 365 pages all in a row. I am so very impressed with the work shes done on these. She uses blends and lots of color. She also likes to use a small border around her pages. I will be popping in to her gallery often after this!
I saw a bit of my own style in her gallery.

What I always love about Pam's work (and I didn't even need to look at her gallery to know the answer!) is the way her photography ALWAYS tells a story. I'd call her style "artsy" as she does fabulous blending work and uses color impeccably. But what I really always come away with is the feeling that I know more about her life via her art. (Can you tell I'm a fan?)

I'm typing quickly as well so I can have Patti.......she has such a sense of humor. Her pages alwyas have brigh color, humor, smiles and fun! But what I think really seals the deal for me is her style of design....the felts, acrylics and fasteners. What she designs makes OUR pages look better. I can't thank you enough for your style and presence her at DD....and it doesn't hurt that you're funny!!

Oh yes, I get to do Pattie!!!! She uses the most amazing templates (I wonder where she gets them) and a clean neat background. She is wonderful at using multiple photos and single photos both. In on word, she is amazing!!!

I got Pam (blkcow)! She loves to use a light cream color as the background, either for the whole layout or portions of it. She's a great lover of having one big outstanding photo, usually among other photos. She uses her embellishment in a whimsical way and loves to fill every inch of the layout. I also see a lot of Katie's Messy Stamped Alphabet. And she's very faithful with the 365 project - way to go Pam!

Woohoo i get Anke!!
What I love about Anke's style is that she always seems to be reinventing herself and trying new things. I am always inspired by her use of photos and journaling as well.
I love that she mixes up stories about family, pets, nature, etc.
Also, her element placement is awesome...there is always so much detail (and a HUGE supply list ;-)

I have always been so inspired by you Anke...thanks!

I have been looking at champsarahjoy's gallery. (could you please let us know how you came up with your online name)

For a relatively newcomer she has some really amazing and super creative pages. She uses many different techniques very effectively and some of her pages have been big standouts here at dd. Keep being creative and looking outside of the box. We love the inspiration we get from you!

I am taking Janet!
I will be right back.......

okay needed to finish an email for work, lol

I am always drawn to Janet's layouts, from her use of vivid color, to escentric and sometimes a little funky title work and gorgeous photographs. She is an amazing storyteller and perfectly reflects the everyday activities of her kids. Her layouts of Olivia even catch the eye of Hayden *wink*

Thanks Janet for your inspiration - you have been a fabulous contributor to the Designer Digitals gallery : )

I get Mary and I don't have to look either. I LOVE her style! I often graze through her gallery because I also have a 15 year old boy. I love how she uses the brush work, kinda grungy and starts with a cream/white or light colored background paper.
