Default fascinating stories in the Double D Scrap Challenge week 3

I don't know when I've been more touched and interested in reading the stories and viewing the photos on layouts than I have been this week viewing the entries in the Double D Scrap Challenge week 3 with the Heritage Theme. I just want to say thank you to all of you who took the time to create these pages. I've been soaking up the inspiration and the ideas for my own heritage pages and I am staying up much too late, but, it is worth it!

Wow, every week has been tough but every page is great this week. We will have a very hard time picking a winner.

I was thinking the same thing-fascinating stories and well worth reading each one. I have my students interview a parent or older member of their family as a writing project and I am always struck by the intensity of the lives that they write about

These wonderful heritage pages underscore for me the immense value of our craft. What we're having fun doing today will be such a treasure for those who come after us. I know we've all said it before, but wouldn't we love to look through a scrapbook of our grandmother's everyday life? Our grandchildren will be able to do just that.

Quite honestly I don't know how any one ever choses a winner on this site.. all the layouts are inspiring and breathtaking. Once I finish Patti's Shutterfly class one of the first things I want to do is a heritage album.. and now I have sooooo many wonderful ideas. Thank you all for so generously sharing your talents.
