Default Cut off Cold Turkey!

I have been without my computer since last Thursday and after about 2 days I started to do ok (thinking I could see the light at the end of the tunnel). I called today to check on the progress and they told me that they ordered a new mother board and that it would be in by the end of the week or beginning of next week. WHAT???? I don't know how much longer I can stand webmail, how much longer I can stand this downstairs dinosaur of a pc (that I have to share, no less) and how much longer I can stand not being able to scrap pages. It's taking all I've got not to run out and buy a macbook, but I just can't seem to justify a $1000 back up for when my Imac is in the shop. Instead I'll just have to log in (when it's my turn), comment on all the wonderful pages and check the forum to see how everyone is doing. Dispite my misfortune, I hope you all have a great week.
UGH, I just realized I'm going to miss the challenges. . . sigh.

It does make one realized how dependent they are on computers. . . I can NOT believe how much of my daily life revolves around it. I'm not sure if that's good to admit or not. lol

it is really bad ins't it.....

I feel for you sweet - and hope that it will be sooner rather than later. We just went out last weekend and bought another Dell desktop...3 people fighting over the best computer is getting old and it is an all in one and was less than $1,000 at Walmart : )

I think Hayden is getting his own laptop for Christmas - all he does is go on myspace, look at cars he can't afford and listen to music.

I think we can all relate Kelly! SO sorry! A computer crisis like yours would be all the justification I need to go get a Mac asap!

Bummer as the kiddies say. It drives me crazy not having access to my computer for one day never mind one week!! I'm with Elena..the pain and suffering alone would justify a new Mac!

We're all losers when you can't scrap, Kelly, because I love seeing what you do with the challenges.

Hope you're back with everything running right real soon!

macrumors says the macbook is mid-cycle so there's absolutely no reason that you should have to do without... I say go for it... macbook in kitchen 9or bathroom)... always on dd... just to keep track... makes perfect sense to me!

I know how hard it has been when we have been on trips with ONE laptop - his - and that is used for making money. My time, obviously, was very brief. Kelly, I get it, I truly get it.
It's withdrawal big time. ugh

I wondered where you were! I am so sorry to hear about your computer issues! It's frustrating! I wish you lived closer as I would have you over for coffee and some alone scrapping time on my computer! I hope all your mojo is building and when you get back to scrapping you continue to blow us away with your awesome stuff!
Thinking of you....

Well, I agree with, Linda -- that truly stinks!! I was wondering why I hadn't seen any of your LOs lately! Tell them it is a matter of life and death ... or better yet, sanity and insanity! ;-) Know you've been missed!!!

I'm feeling for you big time! I think I spend most of my time on or very close to the computer! I'm not going to enable you to spend $1000, sometimes going without is good for you - and you'll love your Imac, and appreciate us all the more. Take lots of cold showers, that should help!

So sorry about your computer! That is the worst, and since I've been there I can completely feel your pain. You could always sketch out ideas?

Feeling your pain Kelly.

I've been without mine for over two weeks and probably have another two weeks before my problems are solved . . . my problems are the decision about what to get (my old computer is pretty much toast) & the money involved in a new machine. I'm afraid that I can't enable you to get a new MacBook either . . . the old pocket books sometimes just won't bend will they?

I do wish that we could get to together for a pity party.

Best wishes and happy new mother board too!!!!!

Well, now, what was all that talk to Phylis about our table?? I personally think you need a travel Mac....what about Maine. Are you like, thinking I am going to share?? Kidding aside, it's hard to wait for your fun, creative, play thing to come back. I know. Remember all that craziness I had at the beginning with my MBPro. Wacko. Just make sketches that you can do when it is back. Sorry, kiddo. Sucks.

I sure missed seeing your stuff Kelly! Sorry your Mac is sick, and I totally understand your pain. I had to wait for a new motherboard for my Dell and it was painful. Can't wait to see all LO's when it's repaired!

So sorry to hear about your computer. We just went through that with my ds's and he drove ME nuts until he got it back. Hoping you get it back soon. Although you have my blessing to go out and buy the macbook pro. You definitely deserve it.

On the other hand I've been without my washing machine for a week and I don't miss it a bit. ROFLMAO.

Although tomorrow when the new one comes I have a mountain of washing to do !!
