Kelly!!!!! Is it Apple repair? They wouldn't keep your computer that long! I live 5 hours from nearest Apple store and they send repairman to me! So sorry to hear of your troubles and yes, webmail sucks! Get a macbook, sit down, relax and enjoy!

Too bad they can't give you a "loaner," like some car dealers do when you drop your car off for repairs!

Oh Kelly, I was without electricity for 6 hours while the power company was digging up my neighborhood, and felt like I was going crazy! I can't imagine a week or more without a computer. Can't wait to see you posting again in the gallery.

Oh, you guys are so sweet. Today is a new day and maybe it will be easier.

Chris, "cold showers?" Do you know where I live???? LOL Thanks for the chuckle. Carol, I could do without a washing machine. I actually loved going to the laundrymat because I washed all 7 loads at once, then dried them all and it only took a little more time than it would take for just one load. I loved it. (Hope I didn't just jinx myself) Linda, no apple store near me either (not so sure that's a bad thing though). lol

It's sad really. I actually walk around the corner to where my computer is suppose to be only to find it isn't there. So, I tell myself, "ok, just turn on the music and stitch." Nope, Itunes is my music (I can't BELIEVE I'm missing the itunes challenge! It's my fave! ugh) Ok, so I'll watch a netflix instant movie, nope no computer. I know, I"ll practice the photography techniques from Katrina's class. . . geez, how am I going to look at my photos without my computer? It just goes on and on. I have to keep the shelter site current so I had to download Picassa to the dinosaur downstairs and do the best I can with editing so that I can at least get the new animals on the site. Anke, I have no PSE downstairs to scrap. Believe me I've tried to think of a way. Then I start thinking again how sad it is that I'm this dependent on this thing for "everyday life." I've turned into my kids. Well, at least I have the memories of playing outside and riding bikes. lol

get the CS trial version downstairs, it can hold you over until you get yours back! As long as you have your supplies on an EHD.... come on....

So feel your pain!! Have to admit tho, I am in shock that in this day and age (insert enabler tone here) you don't have a laptop?? I think you should buy yourself an early Christmas present. Hey, don't you need to stay current with the animals??

Seriously, it sucks to be computerless. I really knew I was sick yesterday--I never turned it on all day!! Yes, we have become our children. ;-)

Anke, did I mention this was a dinosaur of a computer and that it is used by all guys? There are so many games on this thing that there is no space to download something like PS. I'm looking at this as a learning experience. . . you know, the deserted island senario and such. . .

This is great, reading all these "I feel your pain." We all truly do know what it's like to be without our 'puter! Sad, but true, how much we do with it. Here's hoping today is the day!

I'm afraid they said middle of next week for my computer, Linda. ugh. Carol, WHO am I going to play those with right now. One son just left for Italy, another is away at college, the youngest is in school all day and my husband is at work. lol I'm just messing with you. I guess I could sing with the dogs. They listen to me karoke anyway. . . oh, that's with itunes. sigh. . . Boy, a person really could play this up couldn't they?! I did get an email yesterday that the new IMac is out. Was it a sign? I hope not. I really don't want to spend more money. Plus, it didn't say anything about a free ipod or anything yet!

The stars have aligned and all is right with the world again. My computer is back home where it belongs a whole week earlier than they thought.
Woo Hoo!

LOL I'm so sorry, Phylis. OMGosh it was killing me. First not having it and second realizing how addicted I was to it. ugh. The touch is nice, but you're right, no scrapping and no downloading supplies. I guess you can put them in your cart though for one touch shopping when you get your computer back. That keyboard is going to feel huge compared to that little one you are on now. lol
You just keep checking in with us. Mine was done a week early. Maybe that luck with rub off on you. :O)
