Default trouble with LR import

my LR all of a sudden refuses to import my photos from my memory card and I have no idea why. Nothing has changed, I always shoot in raw and have LR change them to DNG and import directly to my EHD. Now it tells me that it cannot write the file. Argh!!! Does anybody have any clue?

Anke, I don't have LR yet so I won't be of any help in solving your problem. But I just wanted you to know I feel your pain. Sorry ... and hope it gets rectified soon.

You've probably done this already, but I always start with either rebooting the computer or the program. Then, check your LR preferences in case something changed somehow.
If those things don't work, I google the problem and can usually find a thread or something that will help.
I hope you solve it! Frustrating, eh?

I fixed it, it was my EHD! For some reason I had to eject it and plug it back in and now it's working. Maybe moving it did this. Thank heavens, I hate it when I run into silly problems... thanks though ladies!
