Thumbs up Show Us Your Favorites!! (09/14/09)

THE FAVORITES THREAD IS FOR LAYOUTS POSTED LAST WEEK. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE PAGES POSTED AFTER SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH.

Please show us pages that use DesignerDigitals products and provide a link (click here to learn more) . . . so we can see the details of the page in the gallery.

There were so many amazing pages this week, but when Anna posted this page yesterday, I knew it would have to start this thread. Not only is the photo a perfect element of design, but I think the journaling probably speaks for a lot of us. (Note: I know it says it was posted Monday, but that was in a different time zone. I saw this one BEFORE midnight. )

I look forward to seeing YOUR favorites!!

I just commented on that page, Cassie. It is fantastic!
Here is a page by Erica that I fell in love with. Sometimes less is more. Simply gorgeous!

I always admire Kayleigh's work and Delight is no exception.

Another one I really loved is mirjam's I'd like to have a word with you Buddy. Lovely and creative design!

If loving someone's layouts means we would be good friends, then Debbie Hodge and I are soul sisters. I just love the way she tells stories about the everyday lives of her family and does it in such a wonderful way. She's a master at combining patterned papers, a skill at which I wish I were better. This page is a perfect example of her terrific style:

So many wonderful travel pages in the gallery lately. I'm choosing to highlight this beautiful page (it's part of a 2 page spread) by Thessh:
Church in Fira

also, I thought Christine (aka CCofOhio) masterfully blended photos of her son on a swing to give us this 3D effect:

OK... I have three this week!

The first is by Tara and I love the softness of it and the picture is adorable!

Next is by Linda and I love the storytelling in the journaling and pictures!

And last is this one by Densie Gormish.... love the "so-true" journaling about clothes and her daughter's struggle to be herself! I also love Denise's nice clean style!

The gallery was so inspirational last week! So many great things going on from everyone. Lots of my faves are here already.
I really love this one of Vicki's (oldvwblues). I adore the collage feel to it and I think she did an amazing job of coloring the photo. I always love her pages

Do you...by Britgirl I love where she is going with this whole book!

Template Challenge "Let your light shine" by patriciaz. The colors are a perfect combination and her photography is always inspiring.

One more...
Little Man Extraordinaire by myra I should just put a link to her gallery as I'm loving all her pages.

I have so many faves. But Britgirl has been blowing me away lately with her wonderful Q/A layouts, and this is one of the many that made it into my faves:

Wow! It made my day to see my page here---but I feel guilty, because that right side is just a continuation of Katie's wonderful Beach Day template. I got all my inspiration from that template and just kept going.

I am so embarrassed, I haven't been in the gallery in the past two weeks, life has just been crazy. But I did notice this one of Kristin's, and I love it. The extraction is beautiful, and I love the colors and the simple design.

Did you take copy the image address when it was a thumbnail or the full screen of the layout?

The address that I copied to the mountain was from the thumbnail and the address I copied to the earth icon was from the full image (I think). How was I supposed to do it?

Here are the instructions posted over in the tips section...... However, where it says "gallery window" I usually click on the gallery thumbnail to see it full size and THEN right click on the layout.... and follow instructions from there.

Using Safari:
In the gallery window, right click on the thumbnail of the layout.
Select "Copy Image Address"
In the forum window, click the "Insert Image" icon (yellow w/mountain scence).
Type Command+V to paste the image address you copied in step 1. Click OK.
In the gallery window, click on the thumbnail to open it full size.
Highlight the URL in the browser URL address bar.
Type Command+C to copy the URL.
In the forum window, highlight the image code for the thumbnail. (It begins and ends with IMG in [ ] ).
Click the "Insert Link" icon (globe with chainlink).
Type Command+V to paste the URL you copied in step 7. Click OK.

Using Firefox:
In the gallery window, right click on the thumbnail of the layout.
Select "Copy Image Location"
In the forum window, click the "Insert Image" icon (yellow w/mountain scence).
Type Command+V to paste the image address you copied in step 1. Click OK.
In the gallery window, click on the thumbnail to open it full size.
Highlight the URL in the browser URL address bar.
Type Command+C to copy the URL.
In the forum window, highlight the image code for the thumbnail. (It begins and ends with IMG in [ ] ).
Click the "Insert Link" icon (globe with chainlink).
Type Command+V to paste the URL you copied in step 7. Click OK.

Thanks Julie for the help - I guess if you follow the instructions you just get the small photo - makes sense that you need to get the address from the large picture and not the thumbnail. Appreciatethe help.
