Default Cards for Heroes

I recently heard about this wonderful organization that will be sending handmade cards to our military men and woman that are overseas. They are trying to get 1,000 cards donated. I will be making my cards digitally and then printing them out, there are tons of great product here at DD that will make beautiful cards. You can find all of the info you need if you google Cards for heroes scrap street. Check it out for yourself and think about making some cards for those who are overseas serving us!

My sister and both my brother-in-laws spend much of their life over there and Eric is top of the list to go next year for up to 12 months...It's a cause close to my heart.

And, I dont think many realize how much a card means to those away from home-my National Honor Society students make, fill out and send about 200 a year and I always receive emails back-some that have said that the simple card they received was THE thing that kept them steady at their jobs! Has brought many tears to my eyes-and also I think we forget about the lifelong scars that many of these young people are bringing home with them as a result of their service-our cards are always Thank You cards

Thank you so much Anna!

I am so excited to get word about this incredible cause out there! The cause is very close to my heart, as well. My husband is currently overseas and we also live on a military installation. I actually had neighbors receive cards from their soldier that were donated by CFH. It overjoys me to be a part of something that brings so much happiness to other military families!

Definitely head on over and join in on all the fun over the next few weeks!

Does anyone know if postcard type cards would be accepted? I have really gotten into creating a 4x6 digital page and having them printed. Then I have a 4x6 rubber stamp I use on the back for the "for real" postcard look. I would love to donate a bunch of them. AND if so, I am assuming since we aren't selling the cards, even though this is outside the realm of personal use, it would still be ok to use DD products?

When my sil was in Iraq, I used to send him cards in his care packages that he both used and handed out. They mean so much to the men and women to stay in touch with their families. This is an awesome way to help them out.

And Anna, you are to be applauded for your generous heart!
