Default 365 pages

Can you believe we are on month 8?! I for one have loved this project and intend to do it again next year. I've gotten some great ideas from the other 365-ers that have gotten me all excited about starting a new one.

Does anyone find themselves getting sloppy with their 365 pages these days? I have found lately that I've forgotten the date numbers or forgotten the subtitles on my pages. Yesterday I found a page that had the wrong font! Maybe it's just because my pages are pretty much all the same and I've seen them for so long, but geez, you'd think with only numbers and fonts I could handle it.

Anyway, thank you so much to all of you die-hards out there who help keep the rest of us going.

I've enjoyed it, too, but don't think I'll do it again next year. Maybe I'll make it an every other year thing. I'm afraid I (and the layouts) would get stale.

It is an effort but I really think I will keep it going. Just looking at my December pages from last year is fun. The pages can be a drag sometimes and I hate doing the same thing all the time so I try to change them up. Kelly, your pages are always gorgeous

I began this as a learning process for me... both in photography and PSE. It's been fun but I discovered that I was really going to get tired of the format so... after a few months... I decided to change the LO each month. Some I like... some are so-so... I'm not sure about next year... may do the flickr just for photos. Seems as though I don't take the time to create other pages and I really want to do that too. It's been fun and I enjoy seeing where this is going to take me. I absolutely LOVE seeing all the other pages and enjoying peaking into the windows of other scrappers...

A few times I have thought about trying to "re-start" but then starting up in the middle of the year!? LOL like it matters. Anyhow, thanks for being "die-hards"! Ive enjoyed it!

I have enjoyed doing the 365 but I have been continually changing mine up as I went along to avoid being bored. But it does take a lot of time to keep up with and still have time to scrap other things. For next year I have made a 4 x 6 template to do each day and then I can make los of the things I really love. And I can always put several dailies on one page if I decide I want a big book. Anyway I enjoy seeing everyone's pages every week.

Well said, Doris! It's been so fun seeing all your layouts! Funny enough... I've been doing the picture-taking... just haven't put one photo on a page. Yet.

There is NO way I'm doin' this again next year! I am pumped to do another December Daily album, though. My family really enjoyed it, and the relaxing "necessity" of sitting down and scrapping every night was really fun. Besides, there is always something going on in December, it's easy to take a picture (or two) every day.

I love looking at everyone's albums. It has been fun to get to know people that way.

My first 365 album is supposed to be delivered by UPS this afternoon. Can't wait to see it, and groan when I catch all the typos!

I have enjoyed doing this too, but next year I think I might go back to just posting a picture a day on flickr and then just make a book with the 365 photos at the end of the year. I've missed the creativity of making individual pages.

I love that you are in for another year! I am with you! It feels almost cathartic for me!! I do most of my pages by opening up the previous week so I don't mess up anything!

I'm doing OK. It's been nice for this year but I don't know that I'll repeat it for at least a few more years when things have changed quite a bit around here. I am braindead on taking photos on days that are just plain boring - you know the ones were I just sit around and scrap all day!

My hats off to all of you that did it! I don't know how in the world you found the time! I have really loved looking at all the pages..and I am in awe of anyone who can take on a challenge like that! Maybe when I retire (that is music to my ears but not soon enough!) I might give it a try.

Of course you know that would be my method too. 365 has become part of my life now.

I've been changing the template I use every month---paper too. It's been great for me--sort of like keeping a diary with photos. Although, the last month I have been so busy with work and company, I admit it has been hard for me to keep up. Right now I am a week behind.

I had the first six months printed when Shutterfly had a sale. I became a little more conscious of things: use spell check as I make each LO, upload it to Shutterfly as I finish the LO. am using less embellishments--I am mainly using photos and journaling only now.

It's been great looking at the design of others and often wonder what design I'll use for next year.

My dd asked me the other day if I would do it again next year, and I really couldn't say. I haven't found taking pictures to be all that hard, though I still don't like that days where I haven't taken a picture I'm actually pleased with. The layouts are going OK; I do a different design for every 2-page spread (with one week per page), so I get to change it up, and I hope it still looks decent as a book at the end of the year--time will tell. I do think I will love having the book, and that may be enough to spur me on to another year!

As Myra said, 365 is such a part of my life these days! However, when I'm super busy, like this summer, those are the only pages I have time to do, and I miss the creativity of doing other pages... so, I will probably do a month in review format next year.

The ideas that I've gotten from others are things that will make it easier for me to do a page. I haven't decided for sure, but I know that I don't want it to be the same as this year because like Denise said, I don't want one year to look the same as the next.

Laura, every page in my Christmas book is different and I love it! I think I tried to make sure the the facing pages didn't clash in color, but that's a picky as I got. You'll love your book.

Deanie, I've seen books that people have done with just photos from the year and they are spectacular! I've thought about doing that, too. But then cnewbie has inspired me to maybe journal about memories that are sparked by a photo. Whatever I decide for the format I know I'll be continuing no matter what. I really do love this challenge.

It has been wonderful! And I can't believe that we are in month 8! But do it again next year? Not sure. It has been really hard for me, and I have found I am not doing nearly as much scrapping as I would normally have done. Loving seeing everyone else's pages, and I am current with mine even tho I haven't posted many. (Laziness not privacy just fyi) If I was to do it again, I would chose one color, and one page design and keep it simple. (Seems like I am trying to talk myself into it, huh?) LOL Some of my pics are less than stellar, but it has been a great documentation of the day-to-day.

I love doing it... it hasn't been easy keeping up but I get to scrap so many photos that would never have made it in my family album. I think it tells a really great story!

I think I am going to do it next year but I have a few tweaks I want to make to make it easier to stick with.

I have had to mix mine up quite a bit to stay interested. But I think next year I am going to pick a few templates and just change out the paper every month.

I can't wait to see it all together =)

Lots to think about- lots of great ideas here. I'm in a stale state- haven't been taking photos every day (missed weeks actually). I've lost my "inspiration" to take pictures and need something! Like someone to answer to maybe. I'm also torn between getting the pic of my day (non-artistic, just factual) and the artistic photo. It is what it is i guess!!

I think i'm the opposite of most of you- you're all keeping up with the photos, but bored of the layouts/pages and I'm behind on taking pics but okay with my layouts, still happy with the design.

I think I want to do this again next year, but I like the idea of just a photo book instead of a digi page. Like many of you mentioned, I haven't scrapped anything else...

I'm LOVING the challenge! I just open up the layouts each week, change out the papers and a few elements, the photos (obviously) and rewrite the journaling and I'm done. I do notice once in awhile as I upload that I forgot to change the week number or something, but otherwise, I'm keeping the process simple. I will absolutely be doing this next year, and the next, and hopefully beyond!

That sounds like a great idea, Elena. It'd certainly speed up completing layouts. The discipline of doing 365 has helped me understand my camera better - made it feel more like an extension of my arm and eyes. Less thinking, more doing.

Once I settled on a simple template (lifted from a Scott Kelby blog post on how he set up his display photos), it helped me get on track. When I started P365, it'd take forever to do a layout because I had to try every embellie and piece of paper in my collection. And brush...

And by "on track", I mean (only) three weeks behind.

I'm doing a photo a day book. I kinda like the challenge to be photographic. then I can scrap my faves only. I am also doing a 'people person picture a day' too {running May to may} in photo only format. I get all my layouts printed in a book {7x7 softback by blurb} every two months anyway. I'm scrapping dec daily again this year

I am still on it to - I too change template and papers every week so it makes it a bit fun to scrap but I am not putting on elements etc that takes time. Howevere I usually look for a quote I can put on the page that themes up with something going on that week.

Journaling I need and here I think I will go in and redo all my weeks - remove the journaling and put all the journaling on one or two pages in front of each month. Not sure yet.

Not sure if I will continue next year yet, but time will tell.

I must admit I am enjoying it, although I am way behind in my pages. Have had so many other commitments lately, but I'm getting there. And it's only due to the stalwarts on here keeping on going with it, that I haven't given up completely. So thank you because I know I will cherish this.

I have loved doing my {not quite} 365 project. There have been weeks that I could have taken 7 meaningful photos...so my choice of only doing 4/week is still up in the air. I (should) be caught up with my LO's by this afternoon. It has been a wonderful project and I'm so glad that I participated...that being said, I probably won't do it next year. Not that I don't want to.....but our years are almost always the same. We calve the cows...we feed the cows...we AI the cows...we put up hay for the cows...can you see where this is going???

I started this project to record a meaningful photo diary for my children and (hopefully someday) grandchildren. I would think that maybe every 5 years might be a nice solution....but when I see the 2010 pages being posted at DD and I might crumble and do it again!! LOL

Plus it's my excuse to send lots of $$ on DD supplies...but john...I neeeed this for my 365 book for the family. I know it pathetic!!

I marvel at how many are keeping up with this project and you are my true inspiration to keep going!! Thanks to all of you....
