Tablet help please

I hope this is the right forum for this....

I just got an Intuous4 Wacom tablet, and I am pretty comfortable using it....but I don't like scrolling with the circle on the tablet and would much rather use the pen. But setting either pen button to pan/scroll... does not work!

Any hints on what I might be doing wrong?

When I change other pen functions like right click or whatever, those seem to change and work fine. I am trying mainly right now to scroll in Firefox and Word.

I've searched the web for an hour to no avail and also searched the manual and am going crazy so TIA!!

I only have the Bamboo Fun but have the bottom button on my pen set to Pan/Scroll. I have to click it when near the tablet and then I get a little hand tool which I can grab the page with and move it around. Under Advanced, I also have it set to hover click not click & tap if that makes any difference.

Hope you get it figured out to do what you want it to.

I have Intuos 4, but older version without the wheel... but I believe you can change in Advanced settings, like Heather said, to anything you'd like even disconnect it... that what I did for the right hand, 'cause I keep hitting it... so check those options...

Thanks for these replies. I finally realize now because of the grabber hand mention, that there was a pop-up box saying that pan/scroll on the pen "does not work for apps that use a grabber hand"---so basically the scroll wheel on the tablet is what I need to use, which is okay, I just need to really get used to that and then I think I'll like it more! thanks again...
