Default I feel so LIGHT!!!

Guess what I have been doing the last couple of nights??

No, not exercising my butt of. Which I should.

I have been going thorugh my digistuff- folder and erased all sorts of "old baggage" that I have kept for years, old freebies and *supplies* from everyone else but DD. I have kept only what I really like from non-DD places. Got rid of both the zip file and the unzipped stuff. Hah!!! So now I am pretty much a *only DD* gal with a few other accessories. Feels great.

AND just as good - I have cleaned up my fonts folder!! It was more than overflowing and it would take forever to find the RIGHT font all the time. Not to mention I usually end up using the same fonts anyway....
So I went ahead and stripped down my fonts to ..... well, let's say a little more than the bare minimum...

AAAhhh, I feel so light!!! Now, if only getting off my butt would be just as easy.....

God, I wish exercising were as simple as dragging folders into the recycle bin!

It feels great to de-clutter and get rid of stuff you've been keeping but know you'll never use again. It feels even better to do a complete reformat!

Clapping for you Aino! You are my hero.

I have tried to spend time doing the same thing ... but I end up playing instead.

How long did this take you? How many Gigs did you rid yourself of ?

Congrats, Aino! You can inspire me to go through my stuff, too. I still have so many of those "other" freebies I've never used, and probably never will, but don't want to throw away because they were free, and because "what if?"

that's what I need to do. I stuffed all my old stuff on an EHD and it's just sitting there anyway. What's the use, I won't ever use it. Must be that hunting and hording instinct, I got a good share of that in my genes I suppose My collection keeps growing also, but at least now it's from here, so I know I will use it The problem is finding the motivation to waste my scraptime to delete instead

Awesome! Sounds like something I need to do. There was a "buy my store" deal with another site which I took advantage of before finding DD. However, the products were really substandard and I need to clean out the junk! Someday.....

It's a great feeling isn't it? Just over a week ago I accidentally deleted my entire pictures folder! (All my photos, designing resources etc etc).

Luckily I have a strict back-up regime (unlike my exercise regime LOL).

But I couldn't bear to bring back all the "clutter" so I had a ruthless housekeeping session that latest two days and at the end of it I felt so organised.

Good for you Aino! It does take time, and I can see that I have stuff that I thought I might use but it's like clothes. Why keep 2nd rate stuff around??

Now that I'm fairly done tagging, it's easier to clean the digital closet but then...there are new things to add all the time. I'm taking Jessica Sprague's Brushes class now and the texture and brushe freebie sites are too much to resist. I think it'll have to be fall housekeeping round here!

Doesn't it feel good, Aino? Surely you burned off some calories with all that dragging and clicking.

LOL - too funny! Glad you were able to get rid of the extra "weight" Aino! I should get on that plan, too!

Exactly, Aino !! I think you will be collecting again soon. LOL.

It is like with everything... When I clean my kids closet and take out the old/small stuff they grew up from, it feels so good and then in just few months later we are there again.

I did some cleaning few months ago too and then my laptop crashed so it was non-wanted cleaning because I lost some stuff I didn't have chance to make a back up for
