Default Newbie Questions: Book Templates?

Hi,
I am still rather new to the whole photoshop/shutterfly world of creating books. I thought that it might be best if I begin with a "create a book" template. If I buy one of these, can I personalize it anyway I like? For example, can I use my own paper for the background, add some fun elements, etc?

Thank you so much for your help. I am really excited to get started!

Welcome to DD! The "Create a Book" templates are extremely versatile. The templates come in individual layers so you can add or delete things as you desire (with the papers, colors, and elements of your choice). . . . or you can simply follow them exactly for a very quick and easy page. Another neat thing you can do with them is to rotate or flip the entire page for an entirely new look. I think the "create a book" idea is a wonderful way to get started!
