Jennifer, you can do it to all of the photos in any one album at a time. I don't know any way to do it for multiple albums at once though. Pick your album and then pick the "all" button on the upper right of your photos to select all the photos in an album and then click the edit -> apply effect -> turn off vivid pics & then there is an option to apply it to all selected photos which will then turn it off for all the ones you have selected.
Here is a screenshot showing what that option looks like when you have multiple photos selected. |

Aren't you just a sweetheart doing that Heather, I think you will have helped a lot of people here.

Some people have said they've emailed or called Shutterfly and asked them to turn VividPics off permanently for their account. I think it's a default setting on the professional photography portion of their site.
The only problem you might with that is if you get your prints printed there, it would turn that off, too. But if your monitor is calibrated, I guess it wouldn't be a problem.

ya, it seems to be very hit or miss as to whether you can get them to turn it off for you... anyone I have talked to tries to tell me that it isn't an option even though I know from others, that it is IF you are able to get someone who knows what to do and is willing to do it for you. I still haven't been able to get anyone who will do it for me so I still have to remember to turn it off each time. What a pain...

Jen---you may have posted that, I've seen it in a few places and couldn't remember the process involved in asking them to shut off VividPics permanently. I get a hit and miss whenever I call them about all sorts of things; some customer service people are much more skilled and willing to help than others.
I just always load the whole book at once and run the turn-off option at that point. It's a little bit of a pain, but only takes a few seconds, even for 60 pages.
